I'm going to sand the flaky paint off my sx mini g class before I sell it & looking for a clear coat for zinc to prevent tarnishing, preferably whatever is used on this...

Zinc is what they use to galvanize steel with so it won't rust. Thus zinc is fine naked.
If you must paint it you'll have a really hard time doing it because Alkyld-based paint WILL NOT STICK. That's almost all spray paint.
Look for cans that don't have Alkyld on it somewhere.

Actually no one said zinc rusts.
To repeat the part of my post that actually answered your question you need non-alkyld-based clear coat.
Had I known the response I'd get for doing your research for you I wouldn't have bothered.

wow touchy... did I miss something what is it exactly you're getting butthurt over?
I've looked it up and whatnot but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask what kind of clear coat others have used on mods in particular, or if anyone knows what is on that mod bc it's very durable... that is after all, the kind if thing this forum is for.
