Hey guys!

just a quick question...was looking around over at gotvapes.com and curious...I see their clear-o-mizer/fluxomizer cartomizers and I'm wondering...the only thing I've seen these on are box mods or fat-batt mods...can they be used on manual 510 batteries? Or do those not have enough kick?

I'm just curious because that looks like a sweet little upgrade to a normal cartridge that would last me all day at work most likely...but i'm not quite ready to jump ship to a riva or ego....I just got my 510's on saturday:p

I'd think you could use 2.5-3 Ohm ones on a standard 510 batt, to be honest in that case i wouldent see the point. Especially if you are somewhat "new" from my understanding they require a little bit of playing with, and it might turn you off, plus its a little expensive. I'd say if what you have is working for you, stick with it and wait till you really think you're ready to invest in it, if thats the case chances are you are going to at least work up to a Riva/Ego device in which case I'd get the LR Clearos and give them a try :) For the time being Pick up some standard boge cartos. They will give you a good ammount of vape time and probably outlast the charge on your 510 depending on your vapeing habbits. IMO and I know a lot of ohter agree, they are the bees knees when it comes to a fill up and go carto that just works

The clear ones are really good at generating sales for ejuice vendors after they leak everywhere. The metal ones are OK, but the clear ones stink, IMO. I bought a couple of the tank mods to salvage what I'd invested on the clears... I think this is universal across all vendors, not just one or another. Consider yourself warned.

I have the CE2's on my riva and I love them. The plastic does break but I have had what I would have to say is uncommon success with them based on what I have heard. If you don't mind fiddling with things I would give them a shot. I don't find them to be that expensive, but like I said, I have been lucky and managed to get 5 to last a month. When they started to crack I sealed the cracks with electrical tape. It's ultimately your decision. Some people like them and some don't, but you never know unless you try. Maybe someone near you has one you could give them a dollar for or something to try it without the expense?

I use clearos and mega clearos and I love them. I will not lie you have to be careful with them, I have cracked a few, but it is mostly from user error (dropping my ego or not being careful while removing my drip tip etc) If you treat them right they will return the favor IMO

I love the CE2...
The core and wicks in these things can last for a very long time.

If you want it to be leak proof and pocket friendly, get the metal ones. These will come apart for cleaning but not as easily as the clear ones. I just dedicate one to a particular juice and use it for weeks till it finally dies.

You will want a syringe or needle tip bottle to fill them.

For a regular 510 battery you can use any of them. 2.4ohm ones will be warmer...the 3ohm ones will be cooler. As a point of reference...standard 510 atties usually run around 2.5ohms. The coils in these are closer to your mouth...so any of them should be nice on your battery.

If you really want the clear ones...the advantage to these besides being able to see the juice level is that they come apart easy for cleaning them out and loading with a new flavor. You can pick up a hand full of BD brand 3ml syringes at the WalMart phramacy and the tubes are the perfect size to replace cracked clearo sleeves. Just cut the ends off the syringe and push it on :) They'll usually give you a hand full of these for a buck (and they come in handy for all sorts of projects around the house). The numbers will rub right off the syringe if you like.

The disadvantage of the clear ones are: The ends will crack over time and can leak. A few juices out there are known to eat the plastic from the inside out. Cinnamon and strong apple flavors among them.

At normal voltages I would imagine you can use them straight from the box and not have to mod a thing unless you have some REALLY thick juices. If you do run across one that doesn't wick fast enough, simply lift the lower-most silicon ring at each end of the coil so the wicks have a little more room to breathe. It's that easy. Some folks just pull that ring out all together if they don't intend to pocket the carto (small bits of juice can leak through the wick slots if you totally remove the bottom ring).

The benifit is...they taste very very very close to dripping.
Long lasting carto........out of about 8 packs...I've only ever gotten one dead one, and I was able to repair it with a bit of wire stuffed in the end (it was a little too short to contact the battery). I still have some in rotatation that are over a month and half old. One or two don't wick very well anymore, but I can still use them as drippers or fill them and tilt in a pinch.

Optionally, you can reset the CE2 in a large syringe or pill bottle to create a super tank. Or even buy them premade.

In summary:
The cores in these last forever...worth every penny I think, they've even outlast some of my $11 each custom atomizers! The clear sleeves are garbage...if you really want clear ones...make your own tubes from syringes :)

Don't ever put cinnamon juice in clearomizers either. That was my first mistake. I got new Red Hots juice with my CE2 clearos so I wanted to try it out!

Hey! I didn't know. :)

It took me about a month of learning about pvs to get comfortable with working with them and cleaning them. The clearer and thinner the juice, the better they work IMO.

omg you got that right. they are just not ready for prime time. as far as the OP's question, they are all the same no matter what vendor. just pick an ohm and give them a try. I like the 2.6-2.8 for a warm hit myself.
