10% seems like a lot of vodka. I've been diy-ing and using a bourbon vanilla. Mostly for chocolate and cherry flavors. It seems like I lose flavor with plain vodka & distilled water. The bourbon vanilla thins without losing flavor. Maybe it's time to stock the diy forum. Or stop being lazy, and quick slacking on the dry burns lol.

I actually got that number from posts in the DIY forum. Seems I had read folks thinning from 10% upwards to 15% so I started at 10% and find it works well for me.

As for diluting the tastes of flavors well, I only vape unflavored so you'd get much better info from the DIY forum then from me (-:

If your doing your own juice then why can't you just add a little more flavoring to counter act the thinning of the water?

I use distilled water in all my mixes. From 10% to 15%. It works just fine in my Evod, my mini Davide, and I expect it to work just as well in my ProTank2. I'm getting good flavor, and great vapor production. I'm happy with the way things are working.

It's good info to have :) plan on doing some non-flavored. Do you get a little extra throat hit, with the vodka? Have read that it can be helpful in that department.

Racehorse: Hmmmm I've been looking for an excuse to buy one of those :)

Screamin Eagle: It seems to take an un-holy amount of flavoring to counter the water.

Been using iclear16 clearos on my MVP. They work great on it, and I like taking it out. It seems like the coils keep gunking up on the iclears. After 4-5 tanks they start tasting burnt and gross. The consistency of my e liquids looks right. Meh, maybe all the time with cartomizers has spoiled me. Get used to screwing it on, and using it for a few days to a week. Once it's done it's done. No dry burning, but having a carto go dry and not being in a position to refill...that sucks too lol.

Hello :) Anyone here have any luck with VG eliquid, and clearos? Vaporized PG really irritates my throat. Wicking issues and constantly having to dry burn, is just flat out irritating. I am thinking going back to carto tanks is my only tank option. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

PG also bothers me. I make my own juice using 100% VG with the only 'thinning' being the few drops of TFA flavors I use which are PG-based. Sometimes I vape straight VG with only the slightest amount of distilled water. So my juice is very thick. I have no problems with the Aro pyrex tank http://www.discountvapers.com/smoktech-aro-pyrex-glass-bcc-red/http://, which has eGo threading (works great on the Vamo 3). I like the Aro RBA heads in these so much I use them in my Protank II as well (510 threads), and they vape VG awesome. (Credit goes once again to ScottP for tipping me off that the Aro heads would work in the PT2.)

So I'd recommend either tank, though I was not pleased with the PT2's standard head as it lacked flavor, though it produced plenty of vapor. But now with the Aro head in the PT2.... it's fantastic. But both vape VG without issue, at least in my experience.

Indeed.
When thinning with water the vape tastes.... watery! With vodka there is a little bit of a throat hit introduced.

Trayce, Thanks for the suggestions :) I will go look. Need to find a tank for my provari. It's too much with a big tank, and I most certainly didn't want a mini. The only clearo I've used on it was a vivi nova clone. That didn't end well lol. Other than that, the only clearomizers I've tried were eGo(threaded). It's kind of been fun. Too bad I spent a year ignoring clearomizers. Maybe I wouldn't have to ask so many obnoxious questions :vapor:

:D The pyrex Aro sounds like the right size.... bigger than a mini, smaller than a Protank. It does screw on to the eGo cone threads on my Vamo, though, so don't know if you were looking for a 510 threaded device or not.
