clearomizer duds.

Hi all,

I'm really new to vapeing so I'm sure I know only a little. I've bought only 7 cleaomizers, 3 rebuildable ones from Lifesmoke at a local flea market, (Saturday's Market) 3 non EGO vision rebuildable Clearomizers from from a local site (VaporGod) and the one I originally got from the owner of Henderson Vapors in the Las Vegas area. Out of these 7, two of the nonrebuildable EGO ones seem to be duds, putting out very little vapor. I tweaked the rebuildable ones a little by trimming a very small amount off of the bottom of the silicone cap that goes over the wicks to allow just a little more juice into the coil area. These rebuildable ones are producing tons of vapor and a good flavor with a nice warm throat hit. Unless it's just dumb luck that these non rebuildable ones are failures, that's 50% failure.

How many other members see a high percentage of failures with EGO Vision Clearomizers? I like the looks of the ViVi Nova version 2.5 that I saw a video review of last night by OptimoCSM on YT. I'll likely be picking one or a few of those up soon with a VV VW battery.

Thanks for any replies, comments, recommendations, TD

I am NOT brand loyal but try to use those products that have proven themselves.
In regards to Vision I HATE the CE4, 5's/ Stardusts BUT LOVE their Vivi Novas.
SmokTech- love their eGo batt and 1.7 cartos BUT HATE their Vivi Novas....there are other brands with which I have a love/ hate relationship but...

I believe you'd really benefit by getting a Kanger Protank, it has a 510 connection but it does come with an eGo ring. Best clearomizer I've ever used. Pbusardo has a great review of them.

Thanks for the useful information. I've seen and read a few reviews of that Kanger Pro Tank. I'll probably grab one of those and a vivi nova and decide which I like best.

The CE4 clearomizers that I have which are duds aren't leaking at all, they just don't produce any vapor in comparison to the ones that are working well. It's really no big deal as it's less than $15 worth of failed devices. I just wanted to see if this seems to be normal to see a good percentage of failures with these units. Don't want to keep buying these if the frequency of failure is high with them. I guess the "You get what you pay for" rule applies here too. As stated in my first post, I'm just getting started so this I am sure is the normal progression of the learning curve.
