clearomizer quality control

From a single 5-pack of clearomizers, I had one notably longer tube (are these things cut by hand??), one without a wick, and one that leaks like a boyless dike. All of them are prone to spinning on their battery connectors. I hope they get these things right some day.

Thats' an oxymoron. In my experience, anything CE2-based is over-hyped and pathetically inefficient for anyone that takes more than two drags at a time. First drag is okay but I've never had one that wicks quickly enough and doesn't taste like burnt plastic on the third puff.

CE2 never impressed me. I kept getting that brand new plastic air mattress odor/taste, even after doing the mods.

i have tons of them ..haven't checked em all..but most are ok..i just don't think the juice tastes good...just weak and bland....lol..i like my metal e2's better....

I love my clearomizers and the ONLY issue I have with them are the cracking of the tube. I have tried about every 510 and ego cart/atty and carto there is out there to try and for me the clearomizer gives the best flavor, TH and vapor and I'm a major chain vapor.

Rope.........Poisonous huh?.............I think you are going to love the metal CE2 at least I know I do. They have great TH,flavor and vapor but I don't use them now because I like to be able to see how much juice I have left.

It's pretty clear that they're likely to leach BPA into the vapor, though how much no one knows. Testing needs to be done.

I'm kinda jazzed about the metal CE2s. My only reservation is not knowing when they're full, but it's really not a big concern.

Have you tried the eGo Tank. It holds 1ml of juice and you can see how much you have left too. It does require a new atty but is built with 510 threads.

Prod yes I have tried the Tank and to be honest I would rather go back to using a atty/cart before I would use it again. The flavor was muted the vapor was almost invisible and the TH well there was none .

I got a pack of XL and a pack of regular clearomizers, have only been using one of the XL's so far, no leaks, no cracks, 100%VG and it seems to work fine for me. I did notice the tube moves easily if twisted. I am still on my first fill, so I have not cleaned or taken it apart yet. I did find the "storm tank" thread that is a regular CE2 (metal) with most of the tube cut off, and inserted into a cut section of 3ml syringe tubing. I built one, and it's working great! I think the tube is a bit wider than the commercial cartos, but it is a good solution to being able to see your juice. I just cut mine with a pipe cutter, about 1/4 in. from the threads, inserted the cut CE2 and wick into a section of cut syringe tube, tap it down for a snug fit, fill, put the gaskets on, drip tip and go. I used the gasket from the syringe plunger with a hole cut in the center for my spacer between the seal around the ceramic cup/coil, and the drip tip. Works so goooood! I just bought a five pack today from the Indy Vapor Store, along with a box mod. I've used two of the clearomizers so far and after an initial break in, no modding, they work fine. I've noticed the vapor is considerably warmer than the Boge 510 cartos I've been using and the syringe is downright annoying, but so far, I've been impressed with them. I also think they look fantastic.

I decided to take my XL clearomiser apart to clean it, and since I have a few extra 3ml ( terumo brand) syringes laying around, I cut a new tube, wrapped the bottom connection point that the original tube slid down over in plumbers tape enough times to make it thick enough to fit inside the syringe tube, and walla! It works, has a bit more room than the original tube, and my 510 drip tip fits in the top. So if you have clearomizers that have cracked, all is not lost. Just have to make sure there is enough plumbers tape wrapped around it to create a good seal and keep the tube from moving.

Wrapping a cable tie around the Base also helps.

The RoyalSmokers factory really need to put some kind of material around the base, be it some tape, thin metal, rubber shrink..

I bought some shrink tube, 10mm X 5M ($2.95, lifetime supply) cut about 1/4 - 3/8 in pieces and used them for extra bracing on the top and bottom on the tube. I can still see how full it is, but the ends are strengthened enough that it may outlast the coil FINALLY!!
