Good news fiancé has been smoke free for 7 days, going on 8. He's killed 2 clearomizers and I'm hoping the 3rd one holds out. I have 2 Texas Tuff tanks on order from Vape Dudes but called Vape4Life since they're in state. I hope to hell their tank gets here either tomorrow or the day after.

Please tell me this gets better. We have 2 eGo C Twist batteries. 3 and 7 days old so it's not that. We're filling with a needle nose syringe and using 50/50 liquid. Is it just bad Clearomizers or is there something we're not doing correctly?

How is he "Killing" them? And where did you get them?

CE2's is all I use. I can usually go 4 or 5 days out of one before it get's "Gunked Up" and needs to be Cleaned and Dry Burned. And I can usualy Clean and Dry Burn a CE2 twice. Sometime more.

I also use Extreemlt Sickly Sweet High VG Dark e-Lquids.

That's kind of odd. I've used them briefly and have not had problems. My Dad has been using the same one for just about 4 weeks now with no complaints. I bought him a few just to see if he'd like them and he's quite happy with them. Easier for him the changing the atomiser in the EGO-C and much easier to refill.

The only reason I can think of them crapping out, other then being a bad batch, would be that they are being hit dry a lot at too high voltage and it's eventually popping the coil. Are these the short wick versions? if so is he getting a lot of dry hits?

Other then that idea I would defer to zoiDman as he's clearly more experienced with them.

You know that there is a Dead Simple way to cure Dry Hits on a CE2 for Most people?

Yes, I do. I didn't have a problem with dry hits on them. I asked if her husband was getting a lot of dry hits.

I like the CE2's and Vivi Nova's a lot and they worked very well for me. I simply decided to get into the rebuildable GG and Genesis stuff as a hobby because I enjoy the fiddling. Had it not been for rebuildable's I'd certainly still be using some form of clearomiser.

The first one just quick 'sizzling' when pushing the button. We put it on a different battery and nada so it wasn't a dead battery. The one that died today smelled and tasted like it had burnt. He's been using RY4 from Altsmoke and the one that died today was from Altsmoke and arrived on Monday so it died in 48 hours. He's using it on a eGo C Twist at about 3.8-4.0. I had read to keep it under 4.0 somewhere.

Hi, just my two cents, but I just bought my first clearomizer atty. I went to a local store asked what they recommended as a simple reliable, cheap no nonsense item and they handed me a kanger ce4? No priming, no dry burning etc. It has a replacable atty head for a buck? Might be something easy for someone new. Give a great vape, great warm cloud. Only thing is you have to keep it sort of upright, not sure. If it gets gunky you just rinse it out and fill again.

Gotcha...

I dabbled with rebuildable Atomizers but just didn't have the Patience. A well hitting Atty though is a Great Vape.

3.8-4.0 volts isn't really too high for even a Low Ohm CE2. Could be a Bad Batch. As the Burnt Taste and Smell. That is Usually a Classic sign of Poor Wicking. Ie: Not enough e-Liquid reaching the Atomizer Coil fast enough.

The Dead Simple fix I mentioned earlier is to 'Tilt" the battery Up when you take a hit so that the e-Liquid Pools around the Wick / Ceramic Cup when you take a Hit.

There are a Many Mods that can be down to a CE2 to make them work better. But I have found that 80% of the time they are Unneeded if you just Tilt when you vape.

And all of the clearomizers were bought from Altsmoke.

Are these what you have?

Because if they are, I can't help you. I never had much Luck with them whatsoever.

I was talking about a CE2.

Let me preface this by saying I'm cheap. Cheap...like being raised with a father that told me a muffler was a want not a need.

I just fished one of the clearos we thought was dead out of the trash. I flushed it out, etc. Refilled with my new coconut banana cream pie juice and it works fine. I will never trust Johnny V to tell me it is broken. No burnt taste, etc. This is the one he thought burnt up. Good as new. Yay!

I found another thread where someone said to screw the battery in with the stardust upside down. That seemed to make a better connection and now it's working fine. Thanks for all your help.

Sometimes the Center "Pole" of Battery Connector gets pushed up into the Carto and Doesn't make contact with the Battery.

Good to hear that you're back in Business.

Switch over to a Stardust. Try work great and last long.wi

That's what she said she's got...

If they are in fact Stardusts, the resistance on those should be more than high enough to stand the 4.8v a twist can put out.

BTW: Stardusts are kind of crappy. They crack, they burn your juice up and cook it brown, they have no flavor or taste like crap when they do, and they require frequent cleaning and dry burning. Instead maybe look into getting him a couple of the new generation of Vision tanks, the Vivi Nova. It's big, it's ugly, but it's rebuildable. You talk about being cheap? How's about spending 10 bucks on the right wick and wire and rebuilding them for years? It's easy to do, here's some videos from a fellow ECF'r: Vaping Estarra - YouTube

Yes, I wrote the theme song for his channel. That's me. That's what I do.
