I bought some clearomizers from TW and I really like these things. Problem is glass isnt as fragile so I had to re-tube them. Now Id like to know how long these things usually last after they have been re-tubed or if someone has never had them crack. Ive had them for a month but I have not used them for a month because I was so scared to. Then I re-tubed them. Id actually like to purchase more of these things and re tube them if the life span is good. :p

I lost most of my first batch because I was overtightening them -- I didn't realize the tube was spinning on the base and twisted them so far that the wires inside broke.

I lost another one in my next set of 5 because of a stupid mistake. I retired a couple more because although they were working fine, the tube clouded up.

I've never lost one because it just plain quit.

I still have one of my first batch from March(?). It probably gets used only once or twice a week because of the way I rotate my cartos.

I think the key to them is to keep the gunk burned off the coil. Those who use manual batteries can just do a dry-burn. I can't use manuals, so I built a little circuit to feed 2V through them. I let them sit that way for about an hour and then flush the gunk off with a stream of alcohol.

Since the wicks don't burn, the clearos can only die from tube failure or coil breakage.
