So I just bought my first rda. An IGO-W. Using it on my MVP2.
The shop built me a single cool 1.7ohm coil.

I don't know if the problem is I am using single instead of dual coil or ohm is too high, but all my clearo's like 30b, 30s, pt2, aerotank all are making much more vapor than my IGO-W. I drilled the holes out so have great air, but I don't know what's wrong. I have my MVP turned up to 5.0v and 11w.

Is the problem I am just not giving it enough power, or possibly that it's not a dual cool?

I've seen on this forum members with rda's on MVP's with success so I know it can be done.

Thanks.

That's a tough one, theoretically you should be getting more vapor from a dripper. So... What are you using for a wick? What percentage PG/VG juice are you using (higher VG = more vapor)? Is it a 1.7 Ohm microcoil (wires touching) or an old school wires-spaced-out coil? Do you know what gauge wire the coil is made out of?

IMO, the MVP2 is not the best device to use with a dripper. It will work but will never compare to a mechanical or 30 watt device. I have two MVP2's and I love them for my Kayfuns with 1.5 and 1.7 Ohm builds, but the Kayfun is a flavor machine not a cloud chaser.

You say 'holes', so does your IGO have 2 holes in the topcap but youre only running a single coil?

If so, thats going to seriously diminish the vapor production, amount of vapor you can generate with a single inhale.

If it has two holes, you really wanna run dual coils in it, or plug one of the holes.

I think you have 2 air holes in that cap, but not sure. If you do and you opened them up, you've got a lot of airflow on very little power for a RDA. Try closing one hole off with your finger tip and see if that makes it better.

I set up my air holes to suit the power I'm going to wrap in the topper. At 11 watts with one coil I would have left it stock and taped closed the second hole to start with.

Let us know how it goes :thumb:

Duh I didn't even think of that. Break off a toothpick into one of the holes and put the open hole closest to the coil and see if that makes any difference. I would advise using a single coil on the limited power of the MVP2. To make a dual coil of high enough ohms to fire on the MVP2 will cause heating up to be very slow.

Is this what the build is supposed to look like? The B&M built it for me, at 1.7 ohm. I did drill out the holes, but I have been covering one hole, the hole on the other side of the coil, correct?

I see many people here have RDA's with MVP's and are very happy but I am not, and trying to figure out what is wrong. IMG_6616.jpg
