I have a number of tanks or clearos, or whatever you may call them. I like many started with a 1.6ml C4 cause it came in my first kit which at the time they seemed to work pretty good, work good until they leaking started (lol), soon after my local shop began to carry a larger tank that holds 2.0ml and has four much longer wicks reaching almost to the bottom of the tank. I've done very good with these tanks and often still use them. They do however have the occasional leak though. Sometime after I bought a glass Aero tank (which works ok, not as good as I had imagined it would), and more recently started using H2 tanks which work really good and have relatively inexpensive replacement coils. Problem is these coils don't last very long about a week or so and less if using a darker liquid, however it's much cheaper to just replace a coil then to buy a new tank which is the upside, and the H2 gives great taste and a lot of vapor, at least enough for me.

What I've found though is the less expensive top fill 2.0ml tank with the four long wicks lasts much longer then the H2 tanks which are bottom filling and use replaceable bottom heating coils at 2.2ohm resistance, infact the top filling tanks with the wicks last for weeks, give pretty good vapor but a slightly muted taste as compared to the H2 tanks.

So does anybody else also get long term use form their tanks beside those of you who build your own coils?? I'm wondering how long others are able to use their tanks or coils for??

I understand everyone vapes at different volumes but give me an idea how long you can go without buying a new tank or replacing a coli. I vape mostly Halo Tribecca and this liquid seems to give my tanks and coils the longest life. When I use JC, which I also like, I get tank leaks and go through coils every few days.

I like the H2 and the H5 clearomizer tanks too but they do burn out about every 3-4 days in constant use for me as well. I have noticed that 1.8 ohm coils burn out faster then 2.2 ohm coils and that higher VG ejuice causes them to burn out after 2-3 days (darker liquids too). I like the taste and warmth of 1.8 coils so I am OK with replaceing them more frequently. I usually clean and dry burn my coils after every 2 tanks of juice and they often last a tiny bit longer. hope this helps you out. :2c: :)

The best way to try to ask how long somebody can go with a coil is to ask how much juice they vape through the coil instead of how long between coils changes in terms of time (somebody else posted that in another topic and it makes a whole lot more sense to ask it that way rather than to ask how long a coil lasts somebody in terms of days, hours, weeks etc.).

As for me, the longest I used a coil thus far was about 90ml of different types of liquids, where as my wife on the other hand went through a good 120 to 150ml of liquid before she started to complain that she wasn't getting much flavor anymore. She was using her protank 2 and I was using my Nautilus with an older style BDC coil.

Edit: I've really not had good use out of any of the disposable style clearomizers, none of them never produced good enough flavor or vapor to me. I used them since they looked right on the ego twists that I was using at the time, and I never used one until it burned out, usually I used them for a couple days and then bought a new one in hopes that the new one might produce better flavor or vapor since it was supposedly from a different manufacturer. Eventually though I had to move on to glassomizers to get the flavor and vapor that I was seeking, such as the AeroTank mega, Nautilus, Protanks II's, etc.

Thanks, I did try to dry burn the coils a few times but it didn't work so good for me. I removed the tank and pushed the button until the coil smoked a bit but it really only worked once and even that time the coil only lasted a few more hours.

Tra, the glasso I have doesn't really work that much better in my opinion, maybe I was expecting more.

I wholly agree with Nana Gail

I have used h2 & h5 for ages and used to go through the rigmarole of soaking, washing, dry burning then I realised that I could buy some ready made coils with wicks and rebuild my own attys in less time and literally for pennies each

If you decide to rebuild your attys the 2 pieces of advice I would give are :- once you ve recoiled and reassembled check that there isn t a gap between the top of the coil and the chimney grommit or you risk flooding, if there is a gap there take the chimney off and lay a couple of strands of wicking material on top of the coil

When you are satisfied with your rebuild always check the atty on an ohm or multi meter for shorts

It is quick, easy and cheap, there are loads of you tube clips

Give it a whizz, you ll be glad you did
