Are you running a series mech? Only difference I can see is if you running a series at 8.4 volts, while some regulated might cap out lower. Always thought flavor came from the topper and not the mod, but I don't know Jack LOL.

The mod isn't providing more flavour, but he's landed a configuration that nails his sweet spot. Hard to argue with a good vape when it just works.

Do rta heads last longer than drop in coils ?

Yes, they do. You may have to rewick from time to time, but you can dry burn coil heads and rewick. Some wicks can handle being dry burned as well, like rayon for instance. In that case, if you have an RTA set up how you like, it's an easy fix once the wick becomes gunked, you just dry burn it.

I always pull my rayon before dry burning. Certainly resists scorching better than cotton, but unless there are other methods of dry burning I'm unfamiliar with, I'd never suggest dry burning with rayon installed.

[Edited to add:] Wouldn't all that gunk just get into the wicking anyway? It's gotta go somewhere.

Just to give you an example, i've been using the same pre-installed coils in my big baby beast for the past 2 months, rewicking about once a week(mostly because i use a sweeter liquid) i've only cleaned the coils once last week-end because they we're pretty gunked up amd black from all that sweetener.

Rayon will absolutely burn away, I'm just not sure at what point. I never actually dry burned my RTA coils. They (and their wicks) lasted so damn long I always just scrapped things and popped in a nice fresh coil and wick.

Looks pretty sweet! Might be hard to find a drop in coil that hits your sweet spot, to many material and different coil mass now. Good luck on finding something you like, and vape on!
