I just realized that too much VG is clogging my atty's.

I bought a bunch of the "Basic" brand 12mg VG juice from cignot and then diluted it down to about 6mg with VG/H2O mix.

ANY VG based juice already has at least 50% VG in it right?
By me diluting it down again I ended up with some really thick juice which is only clogging my atty's I presume.

I guess my main question is I should really buy VG juice in the right MG strength first off instead of diluting it down more, right?

Or, as I am about to embark on.......
DIY

Thanks

We cannot really be sure, but we can only hope that if a vendor sells us VG juice that it contains 100% VG and no PG at all. Unless of course they advertise the juice they sell by a specific % of PG/VG, some combination of the two.

For the longest time (many months) I thought that the PG was what was giving me sore throats but it's actually been the amount of nicotine as my own experiments have shown. I've gotten very comfortable with purchasing all PG juices at 18mg strength and then I always cut it exactly 50/50 with VG. This of course cuts the nic level down to 9mg and the flavor is equally cut in half, but this works just right for me. If my vendor only has 24mg strength juice, then I cut it proportionately so that I still end up with 9-10mg strength and the additional reduction in flavor is still good enough to satisfy my taste buds.

If you are allergic to PG and have to vape 100% VG juice, then I would be sure to email my vendor and ask if in fact the juice I am about to purchase from them is 100% VG and hope that they are honest with me. Then it is a matter of getting the viscosity right so that it wicks properly with no flooding. Personally, I haven't found that VG clogs my attys more than PG, but if the mix is too thick or too dark then I've had problems. By now you can tell if a juice is the right thickness (viscosity) and what wicks good yet doesn't flood your atty. If you are going to use pure VG juice, then I would thin it out just right using PGA or Vodka or my preference is distilled water.

More than once, I've used a clean mirror to check the thickness of juices and it's fairly accurate. One drop of a juice that I know is the right thickness for me on a mirror and an equal drop of my fresh mix on the same mirror, then tilt it up at about 60° and see if they flow equally. If my new mix is too slow, I just add more distilled water until it's just right. Once I've found the right mix, I'm all set.

I purchased the atomic stuff from Tasty vapor (24mg) and it stated that the max VG they could cut it with was 35%, so to answer your question about 50%: no.

Thanks so much for your input.
The more I think about all this the more I'm inclined to just go and grab some flavors I like the sound of and see what happens.

It's all an experiment, right!?

I do understand all that you said though. Again thanks so much!

I got ya, thanks there.

All this info I've asked for is making my head explode so I'm going to grab a s... load of stuff and see how I go.

Half the time I feel like this hobby site is more like a science convention... Odd as I am sharp as a razor when it comes to software development and anything relating to PCs, but yet I struggle with the shear amount of information and methods within the vaping world?

Do they offer correspondence courses for vapers? :D
