I would like to dilute a 24 mg juice down to 18 mg to see if too high of a nic level is why it burns. How much vg would I use to get that result. I don't care about diluting the flavor. I just don't want to buy any juice in 18 mg if that's not the problem.

I have been using Innovapors Ultrapure 100% VG unflavored @ 36mg nicotine for almost 2 years now... And the high 36mg nicotine has never been a problem for me....... The high nicotine level does not cause it to burn........ Are your attys geting to dry? Mabey its the flavor additive thats burning?

I use cartomizers. So far I have about 20 bottles of liquid and every single one burns. The only thing I can handle is the prefilled ones that go to my e cig. I tried 100% VG and that burns so it is either the flavor or the nic. Its like I sucked on pepper or something. Its really frustrating cause if finding a flavor u love isnt bad enough now I gotta find out what burns 1st.

To the original question: Since "mg" means mg/ml that means a 10ml bottle of 18mg/ml contains 180mg of nicotine. (10ml * 18mg/ml, the "ml" cancels out, =180mg)

So using 24mg/ml to get to 180mg is 180mg/24mg/ml=7.5ml. (The "mg" cancels out.)

The remaining liquid is VG. 10ml-7.5ml=2.5ml of plain VG.

Result is a 10ml bottle of 18mg/ml juice.

AH, "pepper" burn... yes, that is the nic. It would depend on how much juice you have to determine how much vg to add. I would advise not diluting the whole bottle if you have a lot. You don't want to ruin the juice if you find that it doesn't work or you don't like it. Let me do some math and I will update...

... never mind the math, Hoosier beat me to it. :)

I use only atomizers and direct drip for the best flavor and performance... Cartomizers have all that wicking material in them, that what your problem is with the burning taste...

In my experience cartomizers don't handle high VG juice very well. It's too thick, and can't wick fast enough, resulting in burning the filler material. Try a PG juice, and see if that works better. The prefilled are probably 100% PG.
