I'm buying some "Humco" USP grade VG from Walmart and will get a bottle of distilled water too but how much H2o should I mix into it.
Obviously I want this for diluting my juices.
Thanks.

Oh, also here's another thing.

Recently I was diluting a joye marlboro 18mg PG juice with some VG H20 mix I bought from cignot and I must have gotten the stuff down to about 3mg, very weak indeed! The stuff vapes like crazy with all that VG in it but is there a point where it's too much?
I mean I'm practically vaping pure VG/H2o!!

Again, thanks and any input would be appreciated. :)

I'm not an expert, but I can tell you what I do. I use a 80%-20% mix for the VG/ H2O. I use EcoPure Krystal it's 36 mg and I cut it to 9mg. I don't think there is a point where it is too much, just your personal preference on the nic level.

Thanks for that. I actually thought it was about 80/20.
Appreciate it :)

Chazz, I've been mixing my own juice for a couple months now. So far I don't dillute the VG at all. I start with 60mg PG nic from DIY Smoke juice supplies | My Freedom Smokes
(Chris is one of my favorite suppliers. Can't say enough about that) and use this calculator eJuice Recipe Calculator to mix with straight VG and flavor and then thin the whole mix with PGA (everclear) at about 5 drops per ml. Works great for me.

WOW!!!! 60mg nic. 8-o
Now that's a head rush!
I need to look into your formula. Not aware of PGA, thank you.

I don't know if there is a "Correct" ratio for VG : H2O

When I make my own juice, I use 4 : 1. That is 4 drops vg to 1 drop water. Or 4ml to 1ml or 4oz to 1 oz. You get the idea.

But many times if I buy e-Juice, I will add straight VG. Depends on how thin the e-Juice I buy looks, how srong the nicotine is and how much vapor the juice is produceing before I add the VG.

When you add VG or PG to a e-Juice, you lower the nicotine mg. The math works out to:

Desired Strength / Starting Strength = Mix Ratio

exm: To make 36mg juice into 24mg => 24/36 = .66 (66%)
So I'm going to use roughly 7 drops of 36mg and 3 drops of VG or VG and H20

My best suggestion is to mlx small batches and test your results. Besure to keep a 3 x 5 card with mitures you used. If you stumble onto the "Perfect Blend" it is frustrating when you can't remeber how you mixed it.

One thing I forgot to mention is that when you mix down a juice from say 36mg to 24mg, you reduce the flavor.

So if my mix ratio is 7 drops of 36mg to 3 drops of VG or VG/H20, I would use 7 drops of 36mg juice, 2 drops VG or VG/H2O and 1 drop of flavor concetrate.

You can buy flavor concentrate from many from many places where you buy DIY juice supplies or you can get it from LorAnn

You might want to stay with Water based flovors in that the jury is still out on the health risk of vaping Oil Based flavors.

The first thing you need to tell us is what type of flavoring are you using?

I use LorAnn's. It is a very concentrated flavoring. I very rarely exceed 13% flavoring. If you do, it no longer tastes like what it should and just tastes bad.

You are correct that if you cut in half 14mg e-juice you will get 7mg e-juice.

BTW - You don't have to Always cut it in half. The formula is:

Desired Strength / Starting Stength = Ratio of Starting strength to use.

Exm. Make 18mg out of 24mg Unflavored base

=> 18/24 = .75

So the ratio is 75% 24mg base to 25% "Cut"

(Remember that 1ml = 20 drops)

To make 30ml of 18mg you would start with 22.5ml (450 drops) of 24mg base

Now I need 7.5ml (150 drops) of cut.

If my flavoring is going to be say 10% of the Entire mixture, I would use 10% of 30ml = 3ml(60 drops)

The total amount of 'cut" is 7.5m so subtract the 3ml of flavoring leaves you with 4.5ml(90 drops) of VG or PG or VG/PG

The Mixture is then;

30ml of 18mg from 24mg base

22.5ml (450 drops) of 24mg base
3ml (60 drops) of flavoring
4.5ml (90 drops) of VG, PG, VG/PG

Let us know what flavoring your using and we can do another work up if it helps you out.
