I noticed that some people dont like the floating pin. this is the first device that I have owned that has one, and I like it. What are the cons to it? just curious
The only negative I can see in this floating pin is when using devices like a AGA-T. With the weak rubber insulators that hold the positive pin in the 510 contact, it will end up pushing it up and most likely cause shorts. Any other devices work just fine with this. I actually like the self-adjusting pin but would have preferred a plain floating one. I guess if you wanted, you can try to remove the spring in it and make it just like a normal floating pin. I can't figure out how to remove the delrin from the cap.
I'm also guessing this really has to do with the weak aluminum threads. With the pressure of the pin pushing up, it can cause it to wear down faster? Wish they would just bring out a SS version of this.

Ahh I see. Thanks. I need to look more into other styles of pins, and be careful on what i screw onto thisThe only negative I can see in this floating pin is when using devices like a AGA-T. If you do, be very careful of the 510 connector threading. I have one and the aluminum is very soft. I have used it with a RSST and AGA-T2 and have not swapped many times and the threading is already loose. I am pretty careful with it as well, but it's so soft there isn't much you can do about it. All of the rest of the threading on the mod is relatively solid, it's just the 510 connector threads that are horrible. Just thought I would give you a head's up.
Got bored today and started to play around with the fittings on other mod parts. Looks like the tubes from Itaste SVD fit pretty well. i like the smaller 18350 look but the battery rattles with some atomizers. The bigger tube is 18500 with a kick. I just have to drill vent holes and i'm all set.

Am I crazy or in 18350 mode there are no vent holes?
