Okay, this is getting ridiculous. My brass one isn't even here yet. New rule: I am not allowed to order from fasttech until my last order from fasttech has arrived.

Lol, that rule isn't working for me. I have had 4 orders processing simultaneously b4...

Soooooooo. FT came out with a clone of the sentinel clone. But this time it's SS and Brass. WOAH!

$23.40 S1000 Mech Mod Telescoping E-Cigarette Battery Compartment at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I just saw that too. I found it on alibaba - looks like it's made by Kamry (although not listed on the manufacturers website).
fasttech seems to carry a lot of Kamry products like all the X model attys/tanks, K100, Ecab V2, KTS, etc.
That may mean that if Kamry ever gets their stuff straight and release that Juggernaut clone - Fasttech may carry it for cheapo.

The s1000 looks decent, but not quite what I was hoping for in a SS version - not an exactly clone; everything from the button, the tube lengths, end caps, knurling - it's all different. The brass looks like it might be gold plated too.

Well if its made by Kamry we know its gonna be a decent mod. It isn't really a sentinel clone, it just looks like one but they named it the s1000 lol. I think it looks rather nice, like a sentinel improvement. You know how Pokemon evolve? It's like, the sentinel evolved (sorry lame way of trying to get my point across lol) if it fires and has similar voltage drop to the Sentinel V3 Clone then we have a keeper.

Considering that I have an inexplicable urge to catch 'em all, I'd say your point is spot on. Dang Chinese and their brilliant marketing strategies.

I'm not going to order this one until I read some feedback on it, though. I'm perfectly happy with my aluminum model, minus the top cap.

If you do, be very careful of the 510 connector threading. I have one and the aluminum is very soft. I have used it with a RSST and AGA-T2 and have not swapped many times and the threading is already loose. I am pretty careful with it as well, but it's so soft there isn't much you can do about it. All of the rest of the threading on the mod is relatively solid, it's just the 510 connector threads that are horrible. Just thought I would give you a head's up.

Every try getting a 510 to 510 and just leaving it there? then again you might not like the gap in between.. :?:

I'd be careful with that one. It isn't the same as the other clones we are talking about here. It appears to have a completely different firing mechanism with a much thinner firiring post. From the zoom pictures, I would guess it has at least 50% less contact surface with the negative end of the battery. And it has a skinny chromed positive post as opposed to the thick and wide brass one in the others. I have the original aluminum/brass m16 clone and it is fantastic. I would love a more durable 510 connection but I'm guessing that this ss version isn't the answer. Honestly at 11 bucks shipped; I might just order 4-5 of the aluminum ones and have a huge supply of spare parts.

I did actually, and that is even worse in my opinion. The weight of a full tank seems to pull on it even more because it does not sit flush. Sadly, I do not see a way around this in the long run. Just hope it holds out long enough to replace it with something stronger. I do have a preorder for the all brass Bagua clone and the H.A.M. Would be nice if one of those showed up before this thing just falls apart.

Got the alloy Sentinel. Nice mod but the 510 threads are not only very loose but also soft aluminum. Not something that will last so be aware of that. I had to put EGO/510 adapter on it. Or get a brass one but it's nearly 2x the weight but threads are stronger brass.

The threads are soft and loose indeed. I've already been changing my atty plenty of times and it hasn't failed on me yet. As long as you screw/unscrew carefully you will be fine.

The brass one is just so ugly though. IMO lol. That's why I'm looking at that s1000 because its basically an aluminum sentinel with SS. waiting on reviews though.

Day 2 with the Sentinal clone and so far its a good mod,i had too make a few tweaks:

1. After tightening up the bottom switch so it wasnt loose i noticed the firing pin was a tad short and didnt make a good contact with the batt, too solve this i backed off the firing pin from the button,it worked fine but then i had a wobbly button. To fix this i just added a small silcon washer inside the pin bolt, works perfect. Now the button is rock solid and can stand up with out a wobble, also i can now lock the button tight without it spinning off.

2.Lightly sanded down the edges of the body as the grooves were a tad sharp.

3.I was concerned about the venting when the mode is in 18350 mode but it seems ok.When the the both tubes close, they close right at the air holes on the inner tube.I did and air test and its not air tight, but i fell it could be more air flow.

After.

My brass v3 is about 3 weeks old now and is completely tarnished. I haven't decided if I like the tarnished look or would rather polish and possibly clear-coat it. I've cleaned the contacts, of course.

I think in the future, though, I'll probably stick with stainless steel whenever possible. All of my toppers are silver and I can't help but feel like I'm vaping on something from the plumbing section of a hardware store. No issues with the threads, though . .silky smooth and seems like the 510 threads are going to last plenty long. The non-reverse threaded lockout kind of bugs me, though. I think of it as the mod I would've made myself if I had the skills/time to make a mod.

You got a pic of that patina?

How would you feel if you had spent $125+ on a original?

Toronto, Canada,
My brass V3 will be here tomorrow! I'm probably going to just pull the top cap and put it on my aluminum one, but I'll meter both to see if there's a significant difference in voltage drop first.

I also ordered the brass one and plan on just switching top caps. Still waiting for it . :)
