My brass V3 will be here tomorrow! I'm probably going to just pull the top cap and put it on my aluminum one, but I'll meter both to see if there's a significant difference in voltage drop first.

+1 on that. I have an all brass m16 en route from FT. Was planning on cannibalizing it just for the brass top cap to put on my aluminum one. Might put the brass switch on as well. I dont expect much more performance but then again it doesnt need more performance. Just hoping for a little more durability in the 510. I have a kayfun lite on it and have to take it off daily to fill through the bottom of the atty

All of my toppers are silver and I can't help but feel like I'm vaping on something from the plumbing section of a hardware store.

HAHAHA yeah I thought that too, but not about the brass, I didn't really care for the locking ring and top cap, with their many many sides. I sanded them down along with the middle tube.

I kinda like the multi sided top/bot caps, its make this mod different than most,im glad i got this beast.
I think the AGAt2 suits the V3 perfect, takes care of the heat sinking and the rings match.I love the grippy feel of this mod too,the button is perfect, just enuff spring too push and it dont fire unlocked even with the AGA.

Did the cap and switch swap from all brass v3 with my aluminum v3 and tested voltage drop with a .8 ohm atty, there is no difference i recorded a .14v drop with the caps swapped and the volt drop was the same on all brass

Makes sense, since Copper, aluminim and brass are 3 of the best conductors, gold and silver being the best,SS steel is far behind.

What battery and topper did you meter that with? Did you sand contacts or anything else? I can't squeeze out any more than .22 with Noalox'ed aluminum body, brass end caps, 18650PD, and AGA-T2. All-brass with same topper and batt averages .25. Not that I'm complaining!

This is a crazy question.Just got mine in the mail today.my first mod.How do you put the batteries in?Plus end of battery pointing to button or what.

Safer to put the button of the battery toward the atty.

I just received one of these today from FastTech, called their "V3 MOD Telescoping Electronic Cigarette Battery Compartment" and got it along with a pair of "Panasonic NCR18650 Rechargeable 2900mAh 3.7V 18650 Li-ion Batteries" and a "Portable Digital Battery Charger for 18650 Rechargeable Batteries". The batteries came with a charge on them, the charger seems to work, and the grand total to my door was just over $33. I placed the order on 8/6/2013 and it arrived at my house this morning, 8/17/2013.

I got the solid brass "gold" model, and so far other than one small issue I am very impressed with it. It is very heavy and solid as an army tank.

The issue I have is that my Kanger Protanks do not fit on it in a way that allows any air draw at all. If I unscrew them a bit and or unscrew the MOD's parts a bit I get a draw, but screwed in flush, with the MOD parts screwed tight, it is airtight and you can't draw on it at all.

After some tinkering I solved the problem by drilling out the Kanger base air holes slightly (the holes in the 510 threading), and using an EVO/510 adapter screwed into the MOD, also expanding the air holes in the adapter slightly, and screwing a beauty ring onto the adapter (also with 2 air holes drilled into it). Problem completely solved! I can get air thru it, and it all fits solid as a rock and has a very nice steam-punk look to it.

The problem I experienced was probably due to the 510 threading in the MOD being flush with the top of the MOD itself, rather than being a design that sticks up a bit, like in an EGO. This in no way is a bad thing, and with other tanks may not be an issue, and I was able to fix it quite handily. If I did not happen to have an EGO to 510 adapter sitting in my e-cig supply box it may have been a different story.

It vapes just fine, and is my first MOD so far, my having been using a pair of 1300mAh EGO type batteries with Kangers for the past year or so, and I have no doubt I will be able to vape all day on it.

I had a similar issue with my oddy clone. I just keep it a turn off so from tight. Only issue is until I shorten one of the outer tubes, I can't use it in 350 mode.

So I got bored and noticed how dirty my brass sentinel clone has gotten. Not much of a patina guy so I pull out some Mother's metal Polish. The only time I cleaned this last time was with brasso, which cleaned it up but didn't really polish it much. Well Mother's polish did wonders to it. An almost mirror finish all around. It actually looks great and I guess the appearance matches it's performance. I ordered the brass M16 before they put up pictures of the ones with the logo's. I'm praying they didn't give me the fake crappy logos. I would love to give the M16 brass a good polish. I think it would look even better without the ribbing.
