My vape budget wouldn't allow me to buy an orginal.
And copies are good to learn the whole rda thing, i mean why would you spend 100$+ if you don't even know if you're gonna enjoy it?

I look on it like this: 100$+ for one orginal. Or 4x copies (4x the fun) Or 1x copy + 75$ worth of juice etc. The list can be made long :)
However if you can afford an orginal and you feel the need for an orginal i'm not gonna bash on you.
I don't see the point of comparing clone vs orginal. If you want orginal you buy it, if you want a copy you buy it. There's that...

I agree . That is why I rather buy a clone test it try it and hope it represents the original to the extent that I buy the original and have both. I love the 3.1kayfun EhPro and had to get the original and wow it was well worth it I now have 2 clones to one authentic and as mentioned without the originals we would have no knock offs. Now to try A good clone of the Squappe before buying that in OEM...

I love clones.

I don't care about making someone else rich for designing a glorified flashlight. Mech mods are NOT complicated devices that require vast amounts of engineering. Any high school kid who studied basic electrical circuits in high school could do it. The price some of these people want for what amounts to a threaded tube, two endcaps, and a button straight out of the 1800s is absolutely insane.

What matters to me is not the name on the box, it's the performance of the device inside. If I can get a Nemesis clone that has less voltage drop than 80% of the authentic mech mods out there, why would I pay more for a mod that delivers less?

No I do not own an 'overpriced' original RTA, RBA or RDA, and never will. Doesn't make any sense to me at all.

Just because an item is inexpensive does not necessarily mean that it's 'cheap'. When something is called cheap it usually means it's poorly made.
I can attest to the fact that the HCigar clones I own of the Taifun GT and the Kayfun 3.1 ES are definitely not 'cheap' by any means.
Very high quality, materials, machining, etc. and the quality is top notch. They vape extremely well and they're very durable too.

Maybe it's my German ancestry or my Arapaho Indian... I'm just being frugal is all.

IF a vaper wants to own an original then more power to them... that's their prerogative. It's still somewhat of a free country we live in and a somewhat free marketplace too. (Regardless of what the past and current presidential administrations have done to shred the Constitution.)

A large number of vapers can only afford clones and so the market is there to fulfill those needs.
(I don't see a need to go into Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs though.)

Couldn't have said it better. It's a preference to the buyer. A good clone is as good as the original. A bad original is as bad as a bad clone. Look at the V-drop problems on the Blackhawk ($200+) just because they plated the threading. Just earlier I posted on another thread about how my cloned sentinel m-16 outperformed an authentic AR. Same RDA and same batt used, only variable being the mod.
