I use mostly authentics but I have some clones too. Clones are a bit hit and miss so I'm careful to read reviews on FT of the ones I'm interested in before trying one. Clones of a given device are also made by different companies so not all clones of a particular device are the same.

For inexpensive items like an atty I would buy one, check it out well and then use it for a week before ordering more.

HTH.

Yes, because I am a bit sceptical. Although, most items on FT has 4-5/5 rating anf almost only positive review. Do they delete negative?

But I'm at least gonna order a tank or two, and rather purchase a HQ mod.

They do not to my knowledge delete negative reviews. If they do, they missed some here. I've seem many more like that on FT.

I actually read the reviews. Doing that gives me an idea of what problems people have had with the product even if those issues don't happen often. That helps me decide if I want to risk making the purchase. There are also sometimes complaints about a device from people who don't understand how something works and that's why they are having problems. I stay aware of that and ignore those comments.

All my devices are clones, none of them cost more than $15 ea. They are all working exactly as they are supposed to even after a year + of consistent use. Nothing personal against "Authentics" if that's your preference, though I refuse to pay anything more than $25 for a RDA/RTA. Especially RDA's, when you think about it - you are essentially paying for an extravagant lug nut. My advice is do some research/watch some reviews and you can get some very nice clones for great prices.

I bought several mini Aerotank clones from FT...

As you probably noticed, there are often several "levels" of clones, slight differences in prices too .

Out of 5 bought at different times within six months I had several that were great,no difference with the REAL Mini Aero's I also had, but I also got a few (same SKU) that were not so good.. (actually they were even pretty s****y ...I ende up just dumping them)

most common probs=
=the threads are just not smooth and after a while (maybe a a week or so) they finally just "jam up" alltogether despite careful cleaning with alcohol or will screw on "wrong " and get stuck !"
Other frequent glitch, the airflow ring is either too tight or too loose, doesnt stay in place properly...
Yes, all this is just bad finishing, if youre" handy" you can probably polish off these rough edges yourself in afew minutes

With FT, if you read through all the comments on the product page you can usually get a pretty good idea which clones/SKU's are decent and which aren't ;)

However ,compared to the price of an Authentic Mini Aerotank i still found it worthwhile, despite one or two losses due to a couple of duds.
To be honest, ive fallen on a few bad apples at full price too ;) ....

When you see an item on Fasttech, click the "discussions" link. You'll see threads discussing the item.
Those members are very critical and there is a ton of good information.

I'm low in my vaping budget already. If I can buy clone tanks, I could've gotten 3 more instead of 1.

The mini Aerotanks are half the price of the authentics . (around 9-10$ instead of 20)
I chose that route because the Mini Aerotank was a "secondary" set up for me (actually fourth choice-I always keep several dif set ups &juices going at the same time).

I definitely would not go for clones for my survivalist-stock,though..too risky .
That's really a case where somethign durable and dependable is important ;)

Good luck,I hear Norway is one of the harshest as far as TPD goes so you're smart to stock up while you can ;) !

Always buy the authentic coils though!

And if youre buying mods you can get some good deals on FT, I wouldnt go with a clone, that's a dept where the few extra $$$ are worth it!

Just to reply to the main post, I use clones and I use authentic. The only different to me thus far is a clone might have me doing some DIY work to make it work properly, where any of my authentic devices work right out the box. I mean most clone RDA's will give you loose post holes or be a design that is not the smartest. Clone mods and whatnot, I'm sure they work just fine, maybe they have a 510 connection that your tanks don't screw onto straight.

This is the same argument technically as buying from a store versus buying from an online shop, and many will agree that buying from the store can be more expensive than buying online, so do you purchase from the store or do you purchase online?
