Was a easy/quiet day until about 1:30. Had to run a couple special cycles and those didn't go well cause it was not the right time frame and out of sequence. Had to figure out how to get everything back in sync, get files restored, and set up again. Got the weird stuff done and turned over to the evening shift. Couple hours OT for me and hoping the rest goes smooth so I don't have to deal with it in the morning.
I had lots of running around to do....but forgot my list so I only got a few of them done......well I guess I will have to go back out tomorrow....

I had to get a new cellphone because I discovered the built-in battery of my old one was starting to bulge (and we all know what that means). Of course, the newer version of Android is taking some getting used to....

To answer it at least for me
I have just no had the urge to post as well one Easter was not fun thinking of the kids and then back to w.
So yesterday was interesting to say the least and did not want to come here and blow up. Had to "work" outside with wall puncher, gangster, grouchy old man and pit bull. Emphasis on the quotes on work with. In other words they don't. Need to push the fish tape harder labor, tiggs, pull the wire through harder, tiggs, dig a hole, harder work tiggs.
We are in the 90's already and the sun is beating down, a new game since I worked houses before and at least there was a roof to shade from the suns glare, though I tried still ended the day sun burned, so came back and just rested with the ac and fan. But that is not the kicker for yesterday.
I leave my phone in the work truck so I am not tempted to look at the time all day, as it is already long enough; and I believe working does make for a faster day, but not here lately for the last several weeks. Because there were emergencies and service calls that came up, a work truck swap happened while I was on the other side of the field.
So at the end of the day I am saying oh, so and so has my phone if he took Gangsters work truck. So I get back to the shop and wait around 15 minutes for him to show, only to be told that he gave my phone to wall puncher, and gangster before he left thinking ahead. It is about that time that Gangster calls him and he turns to me asking if that is my number, yes I said. And am told that Gangster is at a phone dealership getting a new one and took mine, though we had just passed by each other, we coming into the shops parking lot he having to wait.
So on a chase I begin to retrieve my phone from him, wrong store, told wrong. Call by their land line and go all the way across town, next store still wrong, third is the charm. I show up and Gangster is going through my setting trying to figure out how to turn on the wifi and use my data, he was in the wrong location. I went away, what call the cops or get in fisticuffs? He said he would hit me up today, as in pay for my gas and time, which came to an hour and 15 minutes, rush hour traffic and jams.
I get back and am curious and sure enough he made a long distance call on my phone. But again what are you going to do? The owner has no juevos and cares nothing of his employees, sends his dogs by plane to Dallas to have manicures and messages, and does nothing to the wrongs his tenured employees do.
So this morning gangster has me take his work truck to get gas, for a few reasons to spend quality time with wall puncher as they both smoke the green, and two since they knew there was digging did not show until almost ten o'clock.... Grumpy old man is tired of his helper wall puncher but knows nothing will be done so just gripes, but I get some of the brunt of it as well.
For instance today lunch is over, I put on another round of sun screen, my shade hat and gloves and grab a shovel to fill two large holes back up after a repair this morning. They wall puncher and gangster watch me, and then GOM comes and starts yelling "Is that all you have done?" Though with us talking GOM, he knows I am the one staying busy, but he gets so made it spills over to me.
So in the end, just staying away really as I would just be saying something like this every day.

Don't know how you manage to put up with them Tigg - I'd probably be in jail or on the run to stay out. Good thing I work with a bunch of crazy old Marines - nobody tries pulling crap like that around them.
Started work on our big software release this morning. Couple hours in and we lost all network connectivity. After an hour most headed for home to telework to get it done. Was harder to do but we got almost as much done as if we had been in a normal situation. Problem supposedly got resolved this afternoon - hope it stays up.

Well at least you get some of my rage....... I actually do hold my tongue on a lot; and even more so now....
Oh and Gangster does actually take peoples food daily, not mine yet at least. I have to though go him and say have you seen this tool or that one, "Does it look like this?" "Yes." "Oh it is in my tool bag as he tries to steal them as they are more expensive than his...... One thing about..... no better stop there.
No.... good thing you work with that group of bunch of "crazy" old Marines, at least you would have a team. Seems I am alone in this fight and must choose them very carefully or would be in jail.

I agree about the holiday too....it was pretty much like any other Sunday for me...
