I have bought all my Sophia's from members here on ECF. I just posted wanted posts in the classifieds. But they are made by ByLeo... By Leo

Thanks. I'm going to have to take a closer look. I love the convenience of tanks like the Protanks, but I get so frustrated with the coils. I have really liked the PT3's, but I go through coils like crazy. Some are great and last days, and others may only last a day.

I rebuild PT2 heads for a while, but that was a PITA. It's what really got me thinking about RBA's. I built my first coil last night for the Russian, and I had a good coil on the first try. Holy crap, it's easier than trying to rebuilt a coil for a PT2 and not have issues with shorting.

I do microcoils.. Very easy to do and use "sterile" cotton balls from CVS.. I unravel the cotton ball and cut off a strip..

What's the resistance of your coils? I did 10 wraps with 28G kanthal on a jewelers screwdriver that's about the diameter of a 5/32" drill bit. I was shooting for 1.7 - 1.8 ohms, but ended up with 2 ohms. I'm going to try making a new coil today to bring the resistance down a bit.

You are ahead of me girl! If you can do micro coils for your Russian then you can definitely handle the Sophia for sure! I'm still blown away with the ease of making a coil. I thought it would be a PITA but it's not at all :).

Here is what I have been doing with mine. Better flavor than the horizontal. Both are 1.3ohm on a 1/16 bit. First is 28ga, 2nd is triple 32ga twisted.

Does this wick good? Do you have any leakage down the air hole? Do you just stuff cotton around with the bottom chimney in place?

I may try this later today. Did you see the pics of the vertical builds in the Shek's first 91% coop? He's put together the parts needed for that build in his second 91% coop.

I go through heads so darn fast I thought I would try to save a little money rebuilding my PT2 heads. I really had no desire to build anything, but I found I l liked the micro-coil with cotton so much better. They are a PITA, though. The coil has to be set just right inside of the little cup. If it touches the sides or chimney, the whole thing shorts. I probably have a 50% success rate with those, but I think it's because everything is so tiny. I wear reading glasses and still have a hard time seeing everything. I knew an RDA had to be a piece of cake in comparison.

No leakage at all, wicks great. You wrap cotton around the coil.

Here is a great video on doing one. It's rip, so be aware if you don't like him.

Haven't looked there. Don't wanna search through for them. Those coops get crazy. If I can get the funds together ill buy a Russian from that coop. But just spent most my extra on the dna coop.

Well.... It should? Maybe it overtightened or the oring bound up in the threads a bit?

Possibly try soaking it in hot water for a bit to make the metal expand.. Or in ice water to make it contract? I can't remember which one would be a better idea because it's way too late for my mind to work properly.

The hot water suggestion was fantastic. I finally got it apart. I soaked it in hot water, then had to insert the needle nose pliers inside the hole on top. I put a several folds of a paper towel between the pliers and chimney. I was so worried I would scratch it up.

Alrighty y'all, I put a new organic cotton wic in my Sophia, put her in a freshly cleaned IBT, filled it up with Bryce's Cupcake that has been steeped for a bit and yum Yum YUMMY! I'm seriously loving this whole set up. My juices taste fenominal! Bryan, make sure and let me know when you make another run of your Cupcake, that way I can place a nice big order :)

If the Packers or Texans or Cowboys were playing I would find a place to watch the game. We don't have satellite or cable or anything like that. We just watch movies and stream netflix.

Ah I gotcha

Lol, I had to re-read this over and over. I couldn't figure out how someone could be both a packers and cowboys fan.
