i'm not convinced with the LIPO batteries. They require babying and constant monitoring, balance chargers and so on unless i read it wrong.

When they go wrong, they sure do and not in a kissy-kissy manner i'd be happy with close to my face.

dual 18650's, whilst not a great scenario for failure, at least offer something we know.

5C charging is still a risk with lipos. Most packs these days will take 2c, but for 5C you want to check the specs on the pack.

A 3s pack that fits in a slot should give you similar battery life per charge as a 1s or 2s pack of similar dimensions and c rating.

When figuring (assuming vaping at about 4 volts) a 3s pack for battery life, triple the capacity to compare it to a 1s pack.

The thing i dont like about the 200 is the size of the batteries your gonna need to run, it's gonna be a pretty large (size not capacity) pack with low mah. or at least thats what I think.

im not even going to try to correct that mess. .

Here's a size comparison picture Mike posted.

A size comparison for you all:

From left to right: iStick20, Beyang30, Invader mini, DNA200, Tibs2, Hanna, Gdeal Squonker
All have almost identical battery life except the Tibs which is double the rest.

They just take different equipment, the equipment is made to do the babysitting for you, just like anything else, doesn't really require any more effort, but like anything else you should be careful.

I think it's best left like this, but if you want I can bead blast it.

Oh wow tom!! You have the skills of a surgeon! I would have never thought that poor mod could have been recovered to that point. If it were mine, that one scar would stay to add character and have a story to tell. [emoji6]

the silver dna 200 doesn't look out of hand for size but 1 18650? just seems like not enuff.been waiting on the pva40(dna) hope the dual 18650 are good but my only bummer is its not a squonker so idk what ill even use it for other than a paperweight.i have a few nautilus ni200 coils so I can try them I guess.prolly be on the sale block soon after I get it.sounds like the sx350j is the best out there anyway, from all ive seen and read.pva wont even have atty lock so its outdated from the start.

the silver dna 200 doesn't look out of hand for size but 1 18650?

The battery in the pictured DNA200 is a 3S 900mAh 30C lipo battery pack.

From Mike:
"Three 900mAh cells, total energy 2700mAh which is the equivalent energy to a good high drain 18650.

Because this board uses an input of 9v the bats are in series, however watt for watt they consume a "similar amount of total energy" as the DNA40 at 3.7v. The end result is a very similar runtime on a charge when vaping in my normal 30w range.

Now push the thing up to 200w and I am sure the bat life will be much shorter."

The only reason I posted the picture was to show that you can fit a 3s lipo in a relatively compact package.:)

You can fit a dogsiht 900mah 3s pack in that area. Imo that's a crap setup, you got similar battety like to an 18650 granted your getting more power, and less life accordingly, compared to a source that costs a fraction of the price that you can just swap out.

I haven't done much vaping with the 150w sx350j setup but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't trade the space for the extra 50w on the top . . . I'd rather run the sx w 2 cells, or a 2s pack, at 150w than the s3 pack to get the extra wattage, but again, I could be wrong. I don't do much at 150w.

Here's the titanium blue, I sprayed it on my own 26650 it looks better in real life, it's got a nice metal ic look to it, almost like you can see metal in it.

I'm a fan of the turn towards lipos, but requiring a 3s lipo (that's three cells in series ) first off seems like they should be getting more power our if it, which seems like it's pretty far past overkill, but the biggest reason I wouldn't touch it, besides the fact it's an evolve product, is the huge size of the batteries you need to power it. Even if you run it off of three 18650s, in series, your looking at a huge mod with sith battery life. Those are my thoughts right off the bat. I could be totally wrong, I haven't looked into it much. I would just rather swap out batteries than be required to carry them all the time in the mod.

Diggin' this new discussion about the DNA200 and series LiPo stacks.

But I gotta say: This titanium blue is sick. Might just be my second Tmod.
