I am going to just put this one post here, as there are going to be several T-mod SX owners coming soon that might be able to make use of the info. Anything past this, we need to take to PM (we can start a convo with you, marshallb, and I if you like).
rudedog: until you get the hang of wrapping with ni200, I suggest you start with 28g as it is a bit easier to work with than 29 or 30 (unless yours is tempered, in which cause, use any of them). On the Stumpy, start with a single spaced coil and put it in the middle of the posts, Kayfun style, top of coil just below top of post height. Since you are trying to learn your favorite spot with it, stick with a single spaced 8 wrap, 2.4 to 2.6mm ID, 12 watts, 400 temp, single coil and go up from there. If you go duals, you will be generating more heat so more adjustment is needed to compensate. I agree with marshallb on the dual coil wraps/gauge/ID/temp/watts. Every atty is going to be different on temps, even if you use identical coils.
If you are hitting temp limit with a fresh squonk, do as marshallb stated; lower the watts and raise the temp. You won't get the dry hit taste when your wick is dry like you do with Kanthal so it is easy to not realize you need to squonk until you get the temp limit flash on the screen.
Before changing your battery, let your mod sit for a full 10 minutes. This allows the coil to cool, as changing batteries forces the chip to redetect the atty/coil. If it is hot, it will think the hot coil is room temp. This could lead to the mod overheating the nickel to a temp beyond the safe limit of 600.

I dunno but I believe it is blasted then scales. Whatever it is its so freakin cray cray that I now have a mini coming the same way. It is the most rad dope crackalackin mod I've ever laid hands or eyes on.
Yeah it Looks good but the acid is to strong, I have to get the heat and time worked out perfectly and I don't have the time to play around with it right now so I'm not offering it... Hmmm. I thought I had a pic but I guess I don't, I just bagged it up and threw it on the shelf.
Blasted then scales, if you do it that way the grooves are shinny if you blast it after it's all matte, blasted finish .
I'd like to put in a mention for the brushed then scales version. Those scales sure do make it look good.

It is a derringer clone. I run cheap atties on excellent mods. I need a better dt
