Thanks for the info! and I agree completely with what you are saying. All last night I was leary about using it. ..it's probably fine but I had already decided it wasn't worth the constant worry in the back of my mind.

It's going to be awhile before I can get one from Catfish. ..and then of course i want to try 3 different ones..the Vector, the Thump and the bf Snapdragon

Skill..Tbev what are these cases you speak of?

Here is the pricing and such, in case you have people ask. I also have a list of available mods I can get you.
There are two gallery links, one is options and the other some photos of finished cases.

Base price is $40.00 plus shipping (except for the istick 30w, which is $30.00)
This is for the basic black kydex or any of the solid colors with no felt lining.
Included is a belt clip that works on 1.5" and smaller belts

Felt liner is an additional $20.00 (if you keep a vinyl wrap on the mod like a jwrap then you don't need this option)

Faux carbon fiber is an additional $3.00
Skull pattern, digital camo, and other custom patterns are an additional $5.00
More colors and patterns are available, including custom logos and designs.

Shipping: USPS Priority I will do for $6.00
(US only, PM for shipping estimates to another country)

words from the maker to me in an email

Ohhh Skill those are very nice. I hadn't heard of these...that's how out of the loop I am :)

Would I have to send you my Tmod...I say as I am holding it while muttering. ..myy precious. .

:)
o
not me him. the writing on posted was from John the case maker to me in a email. i only needed to have mine sent to him because he has not made a case for the dualy 18650 yet. If he has made a case for the style you have then he does not need the mod he has molds made. I know he can make a case for the sxj350 tmod, seamless tmod, and micro tmod with out the mod being sent it beause tom sent me a pic with all those mods in one of this guys cases. not sure of the original screw on top single 18650 tmod. I do know that super x drifter mad a video on you tube with the original single 18650 tmod not seemless fitting in the case the reo grand on you tube. and after he makes a case for my dually 18650 tmod he will not need any one else to send theres in because he will have a mold for it.

Yep...kinda with Tom on this one. I'm not a shill for anyone, but the $20-30 it costs to have Catfish mod an atty is money well spent, IMO. Having a pin drilled and my insulators in tact is a better option for me...especially running mechs.

Thanks man...

Having chowder do it is most definitely worth every penny, but doing something yourself that works is cool too, That being said, equipment pays the largest role in your outcome, im not saying your insulator is gonna melt and short out, but toy so wanna keep an eye on it. Chowder, he's totally set up to do it has all the equipment does it a LOT, so its a given his is going to be nicer, better done, more reliable, etc .

It's like why I bought a wicked badsaaa CNC machine, it was a huge investment, but i decided I was all in, I wanted to step my game up and make sure my customers get the best possible devices that can be made...makes me pretty unique, nobody in the industry can prototype a new mod and pump them out like I can, theres maybe a couple exceptions, and im still finishing up orders, but there's only a couple guys that are machinists that apply it to vaping, it's a stupid expensive way to go about it, but having the equipment now I can do anything, pretty much, and much better, and faster...it's still smarter than me, but I'm working on that.

Take Crowder for example, how many thousands did he spend on his ultrasonic cleaner, it's just one example of one piece of equipment that lets you know how far he goes to make sure his products would be as perfectly done as possible. We both like making you guys happy, thats what its all about in the end right?

Ow now you going to tease me some more Tom because you know it is at Johns shop getting a case made for it lol. I absolutely can not wait one more secound to have this in my hand to play with. I went with the skull pattern with red lined case for this from him. Is giving me both style belt clips for it. and i asked him if he could make some kind of matching cover for the vectore as well. Not to protect it but to keep the dust and crap out of my atty when im wood working and stuff i allways get so much stuff in the atty of my mods because i forget that it is in my pocket when im planning and stuff.
That's a pretty cool idea, I'm interested to see what he comes up with I know the case will be dope and he's a player for sure!

i am very interested to c what he comes up with as well. He did not say he would or would not do it for sure at this point. I asked him what he thought of the idea and if he would try to think of a way to do it. And he said he will take a look at it. Is realy only where it is at. At this point he is getting everything else he is working on done first at the momment. Then going to do my stuff. So my stuff has not been started as of yet. I was looking at your face book earlier Tom and you have a pic on there of my mod with the vector on it with the delrin tip you mad for me. Caught me of gaurd becauce you did not send me that pic with it all together. Looks sick all set up thanks again brother.

25 gauge never heard of such a thing lol. Would mess me all up i know were my ohms should hit based on wire size diamiter and number of wraps. do they make a 23 gauge i would be interested in that. i would like were the ohms would hit between 22 and 24 gauge. Is that a nichrome thing i dont use it ever. kanthal it is for me. Wow i just googled it and found 23 gauge kanthal i was not aware they did odd number sizes for wire and i have been using rebuildables only for a couple years now. they say you learn something new ever day if you pay attention.

I've found most coil calculators don't list the odd numbers. Steam engine does though

I honestly never got into using steam engine and those kind of calculation sites because they do it by lenght of wire and never really made sence in my head that way. I just learned over time buy making coils with different size wire on different size build rods and different stlye builds were it is going to come out to be. realy only use 22-24 awg kanthal sometime rarely 26 4 to 5 wraps around 3.0 -3.5 od single, dual, parrallel or 24 and 30 or 26 and 30 claptons same 4-5 wraps and know were all those numbers end up these days. would be fun to play with the odd number 23 now i know it exist. i have stock piles of 22-24. any ways back on topic glad you are likely the tmod. I know i am going to be highly addicted to mine when it shows up and Tom will be getting alot more of my hard earned money. And worth every cent of it.

Nichrome is the way to go IMO, one of my boys sent me some and it's been my favorite since then!
My dad carries two Dually's and an original single everywhere he goes, he called me every day for a week the first week I gave him one, to tell me how much he liked it, hahaha, made me happy, if my old man quit smoking with my mods, anyone can, and nobody treats mods crappppier than he does so I use him to test all my new stuff, it's great both ways.
