U almost have to have a top air flow atty on the micro don't u brother. Just because the atty is so close to the fire button would be blocking of the air on the side with your finger when firing the mod...
Top-Air Atties aren't necessary, I was able to run an Atomic on mine after I adjusted the 510 on the Mod, I had a micro-thin gap between the base of the atty & mod but it isn't noticeable at all... I usually adjust all my T-Mods for that micro-thin gap.
Why make a gap on purpose out of curiousity. I understand turning the 510 for the air hole reason. But why other wise. Doesn't making a gap put unwanted pressure on the 510.
In my opinion top air is the way to go period! I just hate leaking juice on stuff, vector: never leaks at all, thump: dam near as leak proof. I always thought it would make for horrible flavor, just because the way the air flows, but ill be dammed, The vector has pretty good flavor and the thump, great flavor. I see what your saying about hitting the air holes, but you can position the atty any way, to avoid the holes, but you don't wanna touch it anywhere bc its hot, im actually running a vector on my micro right nowU almost have to have a top air flow atty on the micro don't u brother. Just because the atty is so close to the fire button would be blocking of the air on the side with your finger when firing the mod. Was one thing I was thinking about when looking at them before. I do c a brass micro in the future for me my freind. So damn tiny I will probauly loose it. The dualy should be on its way my way from the case guy John on monday. Can't wait my freind will throw some pics up for sure of it all when it comes in. Out of curiosity what was your go to builds for the vector my freind gauge wraps od size ect thanks brother
Your absolutely right, it's not the best way to go. It's gonna scratch the deck with some attys, but that's aleays going to be covered up so it doesn't bother me. I usually ship them with the pins hi so if your trying to get it up and running quickly you dont have to adjust it if you have an atty w a short pin.Why make a gap on purpose out of curiousity. Leaky atty = -50 points on my scale...has yet been overcome ... Don't think it will. I think the thump is dope, I just wish there were some aftermarket party's I could make for it, but it's just about as good as it gets already, sick a Teflon tip on it and I can't find anything better. If I made an atty, it would be a thump deck maker out of aluminum, with delrin cap, Teflon tip, game over add far as I could tell, unless you could route the top air intake thru the sleeve to cone in under the coils, but internally, they the /a sleeve to keep it from leaking...That's the only way I could see making it better...I'm telling you guys, aluminum decks are the way to go, it's obvious bc it conducts do much better but I realized it making a voltmeter. I used a ss deck, (an inline meter, threaded into a 510) and it was like a full volt off almost, I bet you get 75% less loss with identical attys in ss and aluminum...minimum. ..
I can put a groove around the 510, and a slot out, just like that if you want bigger diameter, wider, deeper, however you want. What are you worrying about sorting (I think your referring to the worst case scenario, but elaborate please)

Agreed. You build it and I am sure that more than a few of us would be in line for one or two or more. Preferably with a two post deck. Delrin cap. Delrin drip tip. Top air tubed to provide under coil air flow. 24mm for greater build space with a well deep enough to accomodate oversquonkers. Capped like the Vulcan to prevent blow back....aluminum decks are the way to go...
That would be awesome. A routed juice well also serves to break up the visual lines of the deck and can further detract the eye from atty markings for those who prefer to have the atty seated fully flush.I can put a groove around the 510, and a slot out, just like that if you want bigger diameter, wider, deeper, however you want.

Yeah your right, as usual, I love the lip, like on the rogue, recessing the holes, I used to blow into attys, dropped that habit with the vector, it's a fast teacher for sure. I think it even comes with a warning about that.IMO, if you can just have a sorta lip over the air holes on the thump (kinda like the rogue) while keeping every other element of the thump, that's the perfect atty for me.
I use a stubby drip tip and once in a while I find my fat lips blocking off some air unintentionally. Also if you have a habit of blowing into the atty, you'll get a nasty burst of hot air/juice onto your chin or upper lip

That would be great. PM sent.I can do that on your mod. Today looks looks like it's about 0.150in.ish..If you want I can do that, you want it that deep?
Atty and cells get hot fast, but no vapor is emitted. Classic hard short.I've never felt / seen a short of which you speak...
