How long do I have to leave the new bottles in hot water? Do I boil the water with the bottles in it or throw them in boiling water for a minute?

I usually order my bottles in bulk then just fill up the sink with hot water and sub merge and soak for a few , not long maybe 10 to 15 minutes.

I always broke new bottles in the old-fashion way... your idea reduces the chance of Vaper-thumb fatigue, I'll have to give this a try.

Holy crap! I just realized that I've had this SX350J Tmod for two weeks as of today... and I'm still a very happy vaper! :D

This morning, I decided to rebuild the coil in the Stumpy, so I replaced it with a single Titanium coil, about 8 wraps, 26ga, 2.9mm ID... ohms out at 0.5Ω, wicked it with some rayon and refilled the juice bottle. Set the board at 35 Joules and 300°F and put it in Ti mode, locked in the resistance and gave her a squeeze. I gotta say, this is the first time I've ever ran TC on an SX board, and I am impressed! I am definitely loving life right now!! :D

The sx350j board imo is the best for tc mode, very consistent .

I appreciate it! I'm almost there, I'm finishing up the last batch of sx mods, I let a couple stragglers hop on the tail end of the list so it's a like longer than I had thought. I'm also doing a couple Kalamazoos, they are super awesome, stacked, series 10ml's I'll have pics in a couple days of those, they rock, one's an sx350j and ones a dna200. Then....then I'll whip up the new dna200, I got it figured out, it's gonna be small, and silk have the big lipo, our will also take a dual 18650s tray, (I'm pretty sure) I'm gonna do them in batches, ten at a time, so I can keep the micros and everything else running. I have a couple of my guys helping out, so I should be able to deliver way faster....but I gotta get the last batch in the mail.

Yup, I love the sx, it's a best, it's definitely my fave for a single cell, I like the dna200 more and more...The more I use it. I don't like having to fiddle around with it in the beginning but I do like all the options it has.

Having the dual 18650 tray is definitely an fabulous idea. For someone living continents away I'd be worried about changing my lipo if something happens to it or when its life ends.

I'd have to agree. I have two other cheapo mods that use chinese knockoff boards, they'll do TC but they don't do it particularly well...

I've not played with any of the DNA boards... not even the 20's or 30's. But I think I prefer the single cell mods just because of the size and simplicity. LiPo would be a nice alternative, but the requirement of special chargers is a PITA. Fortunately you give us all such awesome options that it's easy to find something that'd make anybody happy! :D

No more special than what you needed for cylindrical cells.

It's just another charger for a different tech.

I've got NiCd chargers for tools, then NiMH chargers for AA cells. My RC cars need a different charger. My camera has it's own charger. Then all then old cell phone power adapters before they standardized on USB. Still 2 tablet brands that take different, proprietary connections at the tablet (even though USB at the other end).

I had to add a new charger for 18xxx cells.

So a charger for LiPo packs is not unexpected.

One could just get a hobby charger that does them all with a few adapters.

That's true. I guess I just meant that I'm just used to my 4-bay charger for cylindrical cells which works with pretty much any of them. I believe it even works for AA and the like. I've never dealt with LiPo, but have seen the chargers with alligator clips and wires all over the place. That's what I'd like to completely avoid if at all possible.

Alligator clips is hobby chargers w/o the correct adapters.

The chargers mentioned a few months ago have the correct connector to plug in to the battery pack Tom picked.

Gotcha. Dangit, now I'm gonna have to start rethinking how I look at mods and batteries. I usually just look for 18650 compatible with the occasional 26650 that grabs my attention. I only have one 26650 mod and it's an old tube mech that I bought a good while back. Now I'll need to consider LiPo if they really aren't all that difficult... although with the SX-Tmod, I'm not looking for a new mod any time soon... she's taking very good care of me right now! :D

Huge shout out and thank you to Tom for his awesome customer service!

I was having issues with my Tmod and flat top batteries, so I sent it in. Just got it back today, not only did Tom fix it but also media blasted it again at no charge.

Looks so nice now that I don't to use it and get it dirty again. How is everyone keeping the blasted finish when cleaning the dark marks off?

Thanks, I used scotch-brite and ruined the finish last time. I thought Tom said something about using vinegar to clean off the dark marks.

It may work, but it is an acidic liquid, you'd be better off with Maas Metal polish, it's non-abrasive & non-corrosive, I regularly use it on my Old-School Double Edge & Injector razors.
