Option 2 would have a threaded plug and a small door for juice only. After coming up with the drawing and dimensions I think it looks a bit to much like the Kimera.

Personally I prefer option 1; yes carbon on three sides of option 1.
Kimera: quite possible one of the coolest dna40 mods out right now.

Do we know if the black is just black or lizardy black?

Thanks!

The black one I got in the first run was lizardy.

Catfish mail! Thanks for bf-ing the Thumps for me Tom, and the Divo is a very nice addition. FWIW, the Divo won't fit on the OG mini, just the Hornet seems to fit that lil guy. Do you know the size for the o rings on the hornet by chance? That CAM-M is new to me and that Thump it seems is made for it. I tried claptons but the negative post hole is too small so I built dual parallel twisted coils running 0.16 ohm. Great build- it heats up all 8 strands of wire very quickly but next time I might twist 30ga instead of 28 to get to a more comfortable 0.3ish.

What would you rather have?
Option 1:

Or option 2:

Both dna75/18650, both right at 2 inches wide and less than 1" thick in the 3.5-3.75 inch tall range.

Definitely option 2 for me. I love that design. Didn't you show us this concept months ago anyway? A lot of squonkers are similar especially all the ones that are a box & a door. This looks to only have a one-sided squonk access which I think makes it totally different than the Kimaera. Plus didn't you say main body is 6061 vs delrin of Kimaera? If you decide on this I would sign up right now & put my hunt for a Kimarra on the back burner. Another factor that I think makes it different is dna75 vs 40 right now. Now this may not be the case in the future because I wouldn't be surprised if a 75 in the Kimmy is not the next step.

I probably wasn't paying attention... is there an estimated price for the Junior?
Way too early for that but I will say the option 1would be a bit cheaper to make. Option 2 with SS plates top and bottom would be more expensive but it would lend itself to any number of materials: ultem, wood, Delrin, aluminum.

Personally, I'm guessing removable back strap (ie: Kanger Subox). Mixed feelings there but I'd say Tom's precision and attention to detail is a fair bit better than that of a Chinese factory worker...:D

he is not an 8 yr old chinese worker...lol.
