I have a formal complaint to register. Tom, you're doing your job too well. One of my mods with a Goon and a BFX bottle (SunBox) catches me over squonking if I'm not careful when the bottle is full.

Wipes mod down again...:?:

Of course the flip side is, that's a fine complaint to have. :D

Stop fat fingering the bottle Distorto...:pervy:

Tom, I don't know if you know this but the SX550j is available. I have one available and would love to see that squonker that you are talking about several pages back. [emoji3]

Wow that is a big board. Definitely interested in how it will perform. The mod is the unnamed Trapezoid mod. Because of the shape I believe Tom said the sxj could be a viable option but it may be awhile before it comes to production. I'm sure he will comment and let u know though.

I have 1 also. I'm super stoked to put it in something but right now I'm trying to get a pair of smaller mods off the ground. As much as I love the technology of the 550 I'm not sure it's going to work well as a bottom feeder. I requires 2 cells minimum. Couple that with a bottle and you have a massive device. I'll put something together though.

It's huge.... double the width and double the depth of a dna200. So the size of 4 dna200s. The joystick and Bluetooth is cool though.

I just ordered the ultra jiggy, super Jazzy Yihi mod with the 550 in it for experimentation. In Carbon fiber if you had to ask.

I also ordered the last 50 sets of LBC carbon today. Between now and the time that fiber arrives I'm going to drop the price of the LBC to $350 shipped domestic. These will wired and built minus the carbon fiber as the payments come in and will ship when the fiber arrives. Once the fiber is back in stock the price will go back to $425.

Yes.. the sx350jv2 could be an option. The sx550 would need an entirely new design.

I haven't looked up the manual yet but what is the thin white wire with the blue ink on it? Antenna?

What is the size of that Dicodes chip? No USB charging, no updates and small screen is OK by me as long as it works.
Almost the same size as the dna40/60. Personally I'm not looking to build with foreign boards. Yihi maybe but that's only because Varitube is the distributor. As far as I'm aware Dicodes distribution is only in Germany and Italy.

You probably have one of the very first Goons that I did which was drilled out to m3 with a big bore hole. I only did maybe 5 of those and came to the conclusion that the Goon simply didn't need that much flow. Big bore plus latex bottles creates a touchy squonker. I like the hair trigger squonk but will openly admit it could cause problems for someone not paying attention.

Morning Tom. You still have that Shingen? Also, I'm thinking about getting another Tug v2 converted, but it has a copper post. Do you happen to have a SS post to use? I'm not sure, but I think Flawless has gold played SS ones on their site, but I'm not sure they fit (they're labeled as Production RDA posts)

I have flawless gold plated ss pins in stock. No worries. I just looked for the Shingen with no luck. I'm not sure if I sold it or not but I can't seem to find it.

No worries.

Hey Tom. Got my four upgraded Cam-M's today and I'm pretty stoked. I've only had the chance to set one up. Stripped it and cleaned all the contact surfaces and applied Deoxit. Set it up with my standard build, dual 8 wrap 24g nichrome, clocking in at .22 ohms and it hits better than ever before. Did a quick test with an in line volt meter. Got 4.2v from a fairly new pair of VTC5a batteries, and a very respectable 3.81v with the atty included.

The bus bar feels far superior to the braid used in my first upgrades, and the adjustable VT 510 is now stiff enough to hold atties firmly in place.

It really feels much more solid and hits better than ever before. My only hope is that it won't leak under the button any more. I'll check this one in a few days and see if it's dry.

Lastly, the new screws are very nice as well, just wish they were slotted cause I don't have a hex driver long enough to reach them. Was able to get at them with the right sized flat head, but I know that isn't ideal. What size bit do I need for these new screws?

If any of you have an M lying around that you gave up on, I would highly suggest sending it in for the upgrade.

BTW Tom, have you considered making your own dual battery mech mod? I know it wouldn't be as economical as starting from a clone, but I'm sure you could design something great.

Thanks man... I belive this is the final iteration of the cam-m I don't really see how I can get it much better for efficiency and brute power/performance.

The wrench you are looking for is an m3. I'll put up a pic below of what the screws started of as.

Put a set of lg hd2 batteries in it and I'm betting you see 4.0 or better.

Glad you are happy with them. Now to get the rest of them out, hopefully tomorrow.
