What is the difference/ advantage in using spaced contact coils vs. contact?
The Shingen is a no go. The pin and post configuration won't allow bigger than a 2mm center pin. I was gutted.Hey Tom
I can't remember, what were your thoughts on the Shingen as a bottom fed?

Thanks!
The biggest difference for those with dna40s is the contact coil is much more efficient which is of some concern for those with limited power. If you are using an 18650 or larger mech, dna200 or even the sx350 power limitation is much less of a concern. Personally I love spaced coils for exactly the reasons Penguiness posted. Spaced will give you a smoother softer vape and much less scorching when pushed to the limits. Want extreme? I'm experimenting with the Narda, I currently have a 5mm (huge) 10 wrap spaced coil with a wad of cotton bacon in it and it is silky smooth at 55watts. I got tired of the constant spitting and burning from 3mm coils in the Narda. Smooth and Clouds bro, clouds.....What is the difference/ advantage in using spaced contact coils vs. contact?

Hopefully the Maker RDA will make up for it! [emoji2]thanks Tom. Off it goes...hehe.
I haven't held the maker yet but Inspects stillare4 just arrived and wow it's a lot nicer than any Stillare I have seen before. Awesome cap system. 3mm pin... The Stillare will squonk and drain very well. I like the fact that you can close off the bottom air feature.Hopefully the Maker RDA will make up for it! [emoji2]

Ok thanks! That's a good explanation. I just did my first spaced yesterday in a Stumpy. Well first spaced that was close to perfectThe biggest difference for those with dna40s is the contact coil is much more efficient which is of some concern for those with limited power. The only down side to spaced coils that I have found other than efficiency is if you oversquonk it will spit like a cobra where with contact coils you just get muted flavor when oversquonked.
I'm glad u can close it off too. For some reason I was thinking u couldn't. Just click the link, fill out the form and when your atty is ready you will be invoiced via PP. no more afterwards pm's. Just fill it out and pay the invoice when it arrives. How does the doc method of ordering work?....I have been outta the loop since the CF edition stumpys
Yes. PayPal will be an option for all authentic attys. Any clones will be transfer, check, or money order.Quick question: is payment via PP an option for the stillare?
Ok, so it was 7/8 wraps... But it is 5mm mandrel and 1.47 ohms less than a mm away from shorting out.Can you take a pic of your Narda setup? I'm wondering if I should set mine to a bigger diameter. Right now I'm at 0.64 ohms with 26awg Kanthal 6 wrap spaced coil. I get minor spit back but at least it isn't scorching, I think of it like eating gushers candies.
