I just got a couple with the plastic plug. It seemed like it fit, but the door doesn't sit flush. On my LBC, the door doesn't sit flush anyways, but it's a little worse with the silicone bottle. Dang it. I would have gotten a couple with the SS cap and had you mod them, but the bottles themselves don't fit right in my LBC. They make the wobble in my door panel even worse. They seem like they would have been awesome bottles to use.
Do what now? Door not flush? What happened?

I have a BUNCH of the soft italian bottles which fit the LBC, if you want a couple I'll mail um to you. Just PM me.

That is an incredibly kind offer. I'm thinking that they must be the same bottles. Mine say BFX on them. They fit in the bottle area, but when I grab my LBC it's clicking all the time from the door being just an hair pushed out. Yours doesn't do this at all?

Hi Tom,
The original bottle in my LBC sprung a leak on the bottom where the seam is. So I'm trying out a super soft silicone bottle. It fits in the bottle area but pushes the door out just a hair and makes the door wobble. I'm trying to figure out if it's the bottle or LBC. On my LBC and with the door off, you can see along the bottom where the aluminum meets the carbon fiber plate, that the aluminum isn't flush. So even without a bottle, the side plate is flush, except for the bottom right corner. When I'm holding my LBC, anytime there is any pressure on the back half of that plate from my thumb, it rocks and clicks. That little bit of aluminum sticking out is acting like a pivot point for the door. When I put the super soft bottle in, the whole bottom half of the door is no longer flush. Naturally, it still wobbles and clicks. The bottle sticks out just a shade too much moving the pivot point up. So I'm just trying to figure out if the bottle is a hair too fat or if something else in this LBC is making the bottle stick out a bit more.

The LBC still functions great and I end up loving it more and more each day. I'm just trying to figure this little annoyance out.

I believe all the LBC's came from Tom with the soft italian bottles, but I could be wrong.

Yes... All new 510. The existing stainless 510 is removed, bored, and threaded for the external dimensions of the VTBF and reinstalled with a few modifications to the new 510's bushing.

So I'm playing catch up. Getting to Afghanistan got me behind. Crappy internet here doesn't help.

Is it really stainless?
I thought so, but early posts said it would be plated brass.

Correct... One of the big expenses of starting off the LBCs was a $1500 invoice for Italian (sva) bottles. They had better be Italian bottles! Pales in comparison to machine shop costs and the piles of cash I have sent to evolve and my carbon fiber guy.

Nope it's a very hard stainless I believe but after I'm done with it its all SS with a peek bushing. Honestly if it's not stainless it's some sort of very hard steel. I'll look at snakedocs pair when I get home, the more I think about it that really hard insert may have had a brass insert that was removed immediately. No brass in the juice stream is kind of a "thing" with me. Even on the updated CAM-M there is no brass to juice contact.

I'll look at SD's mods and update this post as needed I'm currently at my day (so to speak) job. All the MMs are at home.

People have varying opinions on brass in a bottom fed application; mine is it just doesn't belong. There are a few attys that I work with that have brass guts which I will mod as long as I don't have to disturb the brass. The goon and petri come to mind.

Please post a pic of the issue minus the bottle. I'm perplexed. Are we talking a slight rocking on the magnets? Or something that I should take a look at?

It's not out yet... And even when it is out it will be very hard to get and nearly impossible without severe Facebook stalking.

... or wait 4-6 months for them to fall out of vogue and pick one up 2nd hand, if history repeats itself.

I got all my sva's, Lukkos', and SB's that way. I like 'em. They're nice. Forget that F5 or club insider nonsense, tho (IMHO).

But the LBC... now there's a top quality mod available on demand, brand new.

Listen to Papa. Units come up soon enough. F5 wars are for the birds and there is a lot of insider crap going on. Patience is the key. ;)

Also (and as Papa said) there is plenty of great equipment out on market the and the LBC is certainly one of them. On top of that, the Catfish man has a dna75 in the pipe as well. Hard to beat the quality and customer service that Tom provides.
