Welcome to ECF. Ex-army here. When I was in, way back in the olden days, smoking was actually encouraged. I used to live in Cruces up until January. Anyway back to your question. I'd suggest a 510 with a white battery if you want it to look like an analog and still give a good hit. Use a carto and it'll be about the same size. Litecigusa.net has them, and white atty's too if you want to go that route, and they're cheap $9 for the batt and $6 for the atty: Joye 510 Manual Switch Battery, Joye 510 Atomizer. You might be able to find a complete white setup somewhere too. Then you'll have to learn how to stealth vape which is actually pretty easy, just take a hit into your mouth, inhale it and hold a couple of seconds, then breathe in deeply through your nose and hold it a second, then exhale slowly. This will give very little or no vapor after a bit of practice, not that I'm trying to help you get over on sarge or anything.

thanks cskent. i'll be beating myself up for just ordering the black 510 kit for me and my wife, but nonetheless, it was a good investment. i'll put those on my shopping list. the first one i bought was a mini901 in iraq and it was awesome. i quickly ordered the pen style and gave my buddy out there my old 901 with a good outcome. he is now converted.

A KR808D-1 white shorty battery with a tan cartomizer looks kinda like a Wide 100 (if there is such a thing).

While a bit pricey, the smoketip.com KR8s look a lot like a real cig, to the point that people think my wife is actually smoking in the break room at the hospital sometimes (even though it smells like strawberry cheesecake or s'mores, not burning weeds). It does look less convincing with a black cartomizer, though I imagine a white carto would look like a wide lite 100 (or something)

I think if you got hold of Turbo/CoolCarts in tan or white it'd help take care of the "hits like a champ" requirement too.

The 510 is a good little workhorse, I've got a few and they got me off the analogs for good. The only thing they lack is battery life. An hour or two of vaping will drain one. You may want to consider a PCC so you can carry a spare battery and have the ability to charge the dead ones several times during the day. For home use consider a passthrough, they're cheap at $12. That'll save wear 'n tear on your 510 bat's.
