Ok. So I've put down the analogs for a week, spent countless hours researching this site and have gone through my obligatory bad 1st investiment in a PV. I'm officially off to the vape-races.

There is one thing that I don't get. A number of strings and articles suggest stealth vaping, appropriate places to vape, vape "friendly" environments and making sure that you purchase the "right" pv so that you don't get hassled.

This past week I have vaped at work, in the car, in the mall, in eating establishments - basically everywhere. I guess maybe I should be hiding? I'm missing something.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

If you vape on a plane, definitely stealth vape (with heavy emphasis on the stealth part) or use the lavatory. Passengers seeing smoke rising from your seat may get you jumped, as they may think you're lighting something.

I take my PV everywhere. It never leaves my pocket. I'll vape in stores, but usually as I'm heading down an aisle without a bunch of shoppers. It's not really stealth vaping - I'm just not being Mr. Obvious, showing everyone that I'm pseudo-smoking.

Enjoy the vape. Be discreet if you feel it may set a few people on edge.

Most of us vape just about everywhere with our larger PV's and proudly. There are a few people who are overly concerned about what other people think. Which is quite ironic sense they use to smoke. Many of us long time vapers feel the more our PV's DO NOT look like a cigarette, the better it will be for the vaping community. We don't want to be associated with smoking and we want the general public to start looking at vaping as completely different from smoking and much safer if not totally safe.

Perception IS reality. If we act like it isn't safe or like it is just like smoking, then that is how it will be perceived.

well i for one have no shame! But i live in the bay area. Most people know what it is since we had many kiosks in the mall selling them when they first came out. Some people look, but ive never had anyone tell me to stop.

I have done it on a plane too, but i didnt really feel comfortable so i stealth vaped out of courtesy for peoples comfort when flying.

I still pretty much vape where I feel its ok to smoke. I do enjoy vaping at my desk at work though! Maybe one day I'll feel more comfortable vaping everywhere, but for now i'm fine with work/car/home/outside vaping. Sometimes I just get tired of having to explain what mods are and all that everytime I rip out my SB. Running into fello vapers in public is a real treat though! So maybe I should vape in public more often.
