Remember that song?
Well I've had the closing shift at my store the last two nights and it SUX, cus I'm a morning person. Plus not a lot of plant customers shopping that late.
But what IS cool is I'm just vapin away as I go about the night! It made the torture of wanting to be home in bed a lot more bearable:vapor:

Am I the only one here old enough to remember: "Anyone who believes the dead can't come back to life has never seen this place at closing time."

I seem to remember something like that, and it's a apt description what my store is like at night!
We have a new computerized scheduling system that sux, so it's either 2pm to 11pm, or 5:30am to 2:30 pm. Guess who switched this Sat for that shift:)

I remember graveyard shifts...guess that's a bad thing to call it in a hospital :( Long, long, LONG hours of boredom and a few short minutes of absolute terror and mayhem! But, got lots of reading done before and after emergencies! Plus...do you know how spooky a hospital is in the dead of night? Another bad choice of words <sigh>

I worked 3rd shift at a hospital. Try delivering records to the prisoner unit at 3am!! Prisoners handcuffed to wheelchairs...guards with guns...hospital rooms with bulletproof glass and bars on the windows! Definitely creepy!! Or having mental/medicated people lose their way and wander through the halls. One time was especially creepy, all these doors were closed down the hallway, doors that had never been there before, then I opened one an saw several firemen all decked out in full uniform/facemasks!! Enough to make a person stop watching horror movies for life!
And the best part of all...delivering records to the morgue, alone...and then realizing you recognize the name on the chart :( This was my first real job. Definitely exciting! And I have to admit that I liked it despite it's creepyness!
