I got an e-mail from a seller on E*ay today, where I had a pre-order, he said that his order had been shipped but that they reduced the number of black substantially and only sent 25 total...all the rest were silver ( was #28 in line for black). He also said he wouldn't be getting another order for over 2 weeks...so I cancelled my order and I am waiting on a refund (since I wanted black and paid a premium to get one of the 1st ones).

Live and learn I guess. So I too will be waiting till this all cools down.

it's supposed to be a clone of the original Vapor Shark. tiny little guy with a lipo battery. not surprising FT screwed the description up....
I'm actually surprised to see it without "style". It's the first time in my close to 1 1/2 years of fasttech experience that I see an item (I care to note) not labeled with "style". Then again, it might be due to it so obviously not being what it's labeled as :)

Things are heating up in this mod range. The day before the scheduled Innokin MVP 3 announcement, eleaf announces the istick 50W (1/25)
I like the fact that Eleaf is coming out with new products but they still don't have a replaceable battery . I see some venders have stated that Cloupor 2nd batch won't ship now until Jan 20 2015. I predict a shortage of mini's until the end of Feb..........

I wouldn't argue with that. It may actually be March until manufacturing catches up with demand. The Chinese New Year lands on February 19th this year, with 7+ days of celebration.

ETA: While I have wanted replaceable 18650s on all my mods, mAh for mAh (and all else being equal), the LiPo batteries are far superior in most every way. I run my Erlkonigin clone at 13-15W on my iStick and my Cloupor DNA 30. The iStick with its 2200mAh LiPo runs noticably longer than the Cloupor with a Pany 2900 mAh 18650 Hybrid. The best batteries for you depend on what and how you vape.

Having owned a mod that uses an external battery I too am not wild about internal batteries. I will purchase the iStick 50 if/when the price is right. Cloupor did right with the external batteries. If it performs well it may be king of the 30W category given the issues I'm reading re: the IPV Mini.

But it is built extremely well and WORKS:D

I'd call it more of a Midi. Also nice for people with Arthritis or Carpal Tunnel. Easy to grip and operate. Rounded side just sort of lays in the palm comfortably.

Still waiting for a Few User reviews on the Cloupor. May be after Chinese New Year before I can make a decision/purchase.

Non-user-replaceable batteries never really bothered me. I do like the option of swapping out batteries but it's not a major concern. It's great that vendors are making both types so there's a lot of choices out there now and in the coming months.

Try LG HE2 batteries. But then again, the Cloupor DNA 30 is a battery hog like most other DNA30 clones. The HE2 is 2500mah and they do last longer in my rDNA40 @16.5w than my Istick @ 7w or Cloupor DNA30 @12w. The 1300mah (might be 1200mah) in my VS DNA30 @ 11w lasts me about 5-6 hrs with constant vaping (sitting at my desk).

I picked up an HE2 a couple of weeks ago to add to my rotation of Panasonics. IT's a great batt. The 2900mAh Panys (while only 10a) run longer than the HE2 in any given MOD I own, however.

I have a 1600mAh 2s, 7.4v LiPo in my VAMO v5 box mod. Besides needing a speical (balancing) charger, which I already owned, it works flawlessly. The VAMO chipset, with a 7.4v power supply, doesn't have to boost voltage for the PWM cycle. It is much more efficient and lasts as long as my iStick with my Erlk clone... Watts-In-Watts-Out. The VAMO pulls half the amperage from the battery at any given wattage compared to a single cell device, making the 1600mAh 2S LiPo behave more like a 3200mAh single cell, for $8. The VAMO chipset has been severely under-rated.

Does anyone have a best recommendation of where to preorder this now, if I want to get it as soon as possible?

I know it's a bit of a crapshoot, but maybe there is a vendor that is usually fast about this. I'm trying to avoid FastTech if possible. They are solid, but the shipping just takes forever. But maybe that's the best bet at this point? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
