what i saw in that video is the guy pryed the cover off from the sides and bottom several times and probably slightly bent that flimsy cover plate in the process. Clearly he ignored that giant sticker on the new box that says "push down" with an arrow pointing towards the bottom.

It looks like the cover has a slight lip along the top edge which engages the top of the box when it's slid into position (opposite of removal directions sticker). His clumsy handling warped that thin door section in two directions...no wonder it fits like crap now.

Anyway, it does look like a pretty cheesy and thin enclosure. I prefer a nice cnc milled billet or a casting over an extrusion with end caps any day. So what if its ten or so millimeters larger than the mini as long as it can take some abuse without flexing like an iphone.

Looking forward to some honest reviews of this product. I'm concerned about the battery door, and longevity.

I too have some concern on the door. I think Cloupor should have screws to hold the door on. I don't plan on changing out the battery very often. It could have been done both ways. If you were out and about take the screws out or better yet buy 2 mini's so when when one is on the charger you have the other. As far as the longevity I think depends on which 18650 battery you use.
