Hey guys, I understand that when you create coils, you have to use tweezers on your coils to make the coils pulse from middle of the coil and outwards and that they have to be equal in brightness if it is a dual (or multiple) coil build. My friend who is new to vaping asked me the reason for why we have to do this and I couldn't give an answer. Can someone explain to me why we do this?

The reson you want them to be equal is so one does not out shine the other and also so you have a nice even vape. Two coils that heat up in the same amount of time is going to give you better vape than if you were to build a coil that heats up 2 seconds after the other one. You can check this with two easy steps. First off make sure that both coils clock in at the same ohms when you check them individually, then after installing both the ohms should be halve of what one of the single coils you used to build the duelly mesured. Get to vaping my friend!

Sorry, Yesterday was a long day and that was my last post of the night :)
"Even glowing means even heat. If things are in even one side starts to taste burnt before the other."
Basically what I was trying to say is in a dual coil setup you want each coil to glow at the same rate as the other.

"Getting a single coil to glow evenly is removing hotspots which will also make the vape harsh"
All I'm saying here is every coil (the coil in a single coil set up, or each coil in a dual coil setup) gets pinched to create an even heat. When you first fire the coil, you may notice some wraps are brighter than others on the same coil, this will provide a harsh vape.

This, of course, only really applies to compressed coils (Micro, Macro, Nano, whatever). On a traditional coil (Spiral, loose wrap, spaced coil, whatever) there is enough space between the wraps that one coil isn't really stealing juice from another. The compressed coils are essentially a heat tube which gives greater heat. as it builds up in the tube. Some claim the sprial coils give off a better vape because there is more surface area on the coil exposed to juice and air. Personally I use micro/macro coils (what is the cutoff when a macro becomes a micro or nano??) The vape is awesome and they are really easy to clean and rewick.
