Coil Gizmo from Artistic Wire

It's sort of mesmerizing. I keep turning out 3 and 4 ohm coils just because I can't seem to stop turning the little handle

It's LIKE "OCD"....
But the letters are in alphabetical order....the way they SHOULD be.....!!

I agree with everyone above. I found one locally at Hobby Lobby and it's soooo FUN to make perfect coils. I wish I had someone (Gil, are you reading this?) to make some coils for. I love it.

I picked one of these up yesterday at Hobby Lobby. Picking up my screw, washers, and wing nut tomorrow and I'll roll up about 20 coils and be set for quite some time! Thanks for all the info.

Some e-cig coil builders are starting to post their reviews on Amazon. I wonder if the manufacturer will find this as a pleasant surprise.

One of the reviewers stated that the manufacturer said there were variances on the rods. Did all of you that bought from Amazon get a 1/16" rod with yours?

Artistic Wire Coiling Gizmo(R) Deluxe Winder for Jewelry Making had this for a few months....works great. A review on Amazon gave these rods measurements -

18g = 1.22mm
15g = 1.83mm
10g = 3.25mm
8g = 4.06mm
6g = 4.88mm

I use the 15g and have perfect coils for Protanks and Aspire Nautilus.

I have and like the DarkZero jig. I have a Hobby Lobby here in Erie. Do I need to go buy this rig??

I went and picked one up about a week ago and honestly im not a huge fan. It's probably mostly about the size. I don't have allot of space to set it up and work with it at my desk. I just ordered a DZ jig clone and will have it in a few days. hopefully I like that better.

Not unless you like tensioned perfect coils that don't tear up your fingertips and use only the amount of wire you need

I have a dz jig too and love it. The gizmo just makes it where I don't have to rely on my dry ... split up cracked fingertips to tension the wire.

I keep my wire right on the spool and get after it with the gizmo.

I like the DarkZero jig,too.....but this Gizmo is pretty cool for about ten bucks. It's really FUN, so it just depends on whether or not you think you need more stuff. I like the Gizmo a LOT, but I like to try every new thing that comes along just in case it turns out I need it.

I've never tried the Dark-Zero but I love and count on my Artistic Wire jig for perfect coils every time.Now I just have to find my ideal wiregauge/coil # combo.
