I'm running an Arctic tank and eleaf I stick with a .2 coil so it's at 50w which is the max for the battery. It gets really hot after like 2-3 good drags in a row. Is this normal ? I'm thinking about switching back to a .5 coil and running it at 30w again but it's a little harsh tasting at 50w... I don't think coil is bad but it's just too strong for me. I recently switched from 12mg to 6mg and it seems almost stronger? Is this because I'm running at higher watts?

50 watts is hotter than 30 watts.

By the way are your running a nickel coil in vw mode?

And yes, a lower nicotine strength run at higher wattage can be stronger.

By the way have you tried running the 0.2 ohm coil at 30 watts or less?
