I tried building a micro coil and then a regular coil 32g kanthal and echalwool im getting a bad burnt taste no part of the coil is touching ots reading at 4.5 ohm on one and 1.9 ohms on the other
4.5ohm is way to high to get a decent vape. When doing a micro coil you'll want to use something like 26 or 28g.
As for the burnt taste, you probably have a hotspot somewhere. Check to see that your coil is touching your wick. If it's not touching the wick it becomes a hot spot, giving you that burnt taste.
I didn't see anywhere it wasn't touching I tried wraping another one it was 2.3 touching everywhere this one is with silica and im still getting a burnt taste
You don't want to wrap it too tight. You're probably choking the wick.
This is why I use cotton, I just make the coil first, wrapping it around a toothpick/drill bit and thread the cotton through.
Ever since I started using cotton, I've NEVER had a problem with burnt taste.
Hot spot give's metal taste, burnt taste is from dry wick.
Remove rubber cap, dont put any extra wicks on top.
If still no luck, try to thin wick a bit.
