Maybe a little off-topic because I like to refer to this type of coil build as my "bog standard", or "go to" sort of All Day Vape (27/36 Ni80, 5 wraps at 2.5mm ID) aliens dual coil at .11 ohms so it is the exact same set of coils that you could also decide to just buy from m.terk (Mike), in the District F5VE CSMNT on top of the Purge mods Suicide King Murdered Out.

As you can see in the pics I posted above, tightening the post screws didn't twist these coils out of shape in any way that could affect the final result, as you need (that is, at least IME) to slam them over to the outside to get them really close to the airflow, and, by doing this they are already straightened out properly anyway in the first place. In fact I prefer the CSMNT over the newer C2MNT because the latter would just increase the coil leg length for no reason. In addition, the reduced chamber size from the separately sold District F5VE Shawty cap is why the CSMNT is still ranked very close to the top on my list of alltime favorite flavor chasing RDAs.

Thanks but the capillary action with the cotton leaves a lot to be desired, it needs more mass to draw the juice, however, I have some premade flaptons and I think I'm going to rewrap 2 of them making 4 wraps each, both are ni80 and I think. 25 ohms so I should be good to go with one on top of the other, will post when I get round to it

I think you're just using too much cotton on the bottom of the coil. Try just pulling the cotton through just enough to touch the deck. That's how I do it in my vertical builds and it works just fine. I must also say I use rayon wicking.

Thanks,I'll try less cotton but it won't be easy to dam the juice holes, the vv 24 has 4 holes and it's a pain to keep the deck from flooding, very badly designed tank, totally useless with mesh

My mistake. I didn't realize it was an RTA. I thought it was an RDA. Sorry.

First time ever using a prebuilt coil. 4 core fused clapton, 28g x 4 + 38g, 5 wraps. Im shocked just looking at the precision of the 38g wire clapton...Im sure they used a maching, not one overlap or error...
