Ok I am using the vision spinner 2 and nautilus combination right now and I am dry burning it and even after dozens of times the coil just wont get red hot, even at 4.8 volts. Is something wrong.
are you sure your battery is putting out 4+ V??? the battery could be running low and not delivering the voltage required to get it to turn red...
but the important part is.... was it producing vapor before... ( blown coil?)
What happens when you dry burn? For me it would sizzle quite a bit at first, burning off the excess liquid. Liquid on the coils prevents them from getting red-hot temperatures. I also know that bits of cotton sometimes like to stay behind, which produce nasty smoke way before they get red hot.
So, it might be worth running something through your coil(s) to make sure they're free of solid debris, in addition to what's been asked/said.
Rip it apart and clean it out, most likely there is a bunch of buildup in the coil.
I had problems from the terminal under my carto not making good contact. If you take either a small paperclip/tack/etc and can pull the contact back up some and make sure it is clean it may help as well.
Well I dont think its the coil though btw it was a bdc coil. But it performing fine the entire time, I was vaping it around 3.8-4.3 volts although I got a few burnt hits on 4.3. But the vapor and taste was there so idk if its the coil.
If its a stock coil, and you leave the wick in it it wont turn red. Just heat it up and run it under some water while not firing then heat it up again. do this a few times and it should be good. if not, its probably time to replace the coil.
