Colibri 2011 Model - E-liquid Concern/Question.

Hello all,

I have been e-smoking for about a year now. I have tried many models out there over that time and I've found the new Colibri 2011 Model is best for me needs. Anyway, I need help from users of the this product. I very much like the flavor and of what they call, "COLIBRI PREMIUM tobacco". It is the flavor you get when you buy the pre-fills ($15.00 for 5!) and the flavor that comes with the starter kit. I wanted to buy the same e-liquid from them to save some $ but, after receiving the 30ml bottle, it is clearly not the same flavor. It was more just a generic tobacco type (Clear bottle/orange cap). I asked them about this but they insisted that ordering "PREMIUM TOBACCO" liquid is what they use to fill the pre's. It is not! Has anyone noticed this? If so, did you find what they are using? I would like to buy liquid of the "same" flavor.

Few people here use Colibri. I am surprised they told you the liquid is the same and sold you the bottle but it is not. They carts are probably filled in China. You could try some of the Dekang Chinese PG tobacco flavors (see LiteCigUSA.net and MadVapes.com). USA-Mix and USA-Mix-Red (if they have that) supposedly Marlboro like. DK-TAB is popular (Turkish American blend). RY4 is a sweet caramelly vanilla tobacco, 555 is a nutty vanilla tobacco, often sweet. And they have others.

FreedomSMokeUSA has tons of tobacco flavors plus some oddball specialty ones in 50/50 only (like Switchblade which seems like a US or Perique and Turkish mix? And Voodoo, something fruity, something dark and to me seems like some cinnamon?)

Thank you for your help! Hopefully a user can track down the flavor for me or know what's up. I was really upset with what was sent. Not that it was bad or anything, but it was absolutely not the same. The flavor in the pre-s is a darkish, nutty flavor with a hint of sweetness. If you ever bought Arizona Smoke tobacco or No.7 (PG) that is like what was sent. That "typical" light in color liquid that taste more like the smell of a pack of real ciggs.

maybe they let their juice steep for a bit before they fill the cartos...or steep in the cartos themselves. You can always add a sweetener.

Steep? If you mean "fill and wait a day", I tried that. It's not the same flavor :- ( It's not lacking sweetness. It's lacking the rich/dark tone if you will. Those who have had their pre-fills with this kit will know the flavor I am talking about.

I went through this search for my mom. She liked a prefilled carto that came with one of her kits and I couldn't find it either. LiteCigUSA sells dekang. You could try there. She now likes the tobacco juices from BWB.

Vapor Station also has excellent tobacco juices and they have a nice sampler pack.

I agree with Dormous, that sounds like a RY4.

I don't know - if it's nutty it may be a 555 (almond or other nutty vanilla tobacco, often a bit sweet). And to me and several others, FreedomSmokeUSA Desert Ship smells like a freshly opened pack - nutty and slightly pungent.

There are so so so many juice makers in the US, you would never find one particular juice you have tasted. But you might find something close. And I am still betting their prefills are filled in China.

Do you know what Chinese model the Colibri really is? Colibri is just a rebrander like all of the other slim ecig "name" brands.

So I'm not crazy then? Your Mom noticed this as well? I wish the company would have just been honest. The Belgo they sell is nice too but it's not what is in the pre's.

ps. I don't think this model is just another slim. I have tired them all. This is not an E8 or an 808. I don't know where they are made, etc but it annoys the hell out of me that I need to hunt down what they say is available on their website. The "Premium Tobacco" flavor. I really do not want to go down this long road again.

try a 50/50 mix of hilton and 555


that gets pretty close to the prefilled cartos that I have tried.
