Collapsed Spring

Had my first spring collapse. It happened as I fired a new cisco LR 510 1.5.

Should I toss the atty or is it possible that it was just a matter of me possibly screwing it in poorly?

Would it be ok to continue using the battery or is it not worth the risk?

Lastly, any Canadians have any clue where to find some springs? I won't be back in states for a month and I'm sure we can all agree shipping is quite steep to here.

I am in Montreal however. Surely something around here can supply me with a few.

I read battery boxes could have some that fit. Does anyone know if Reo springs are generic or will it be tough to find one that will match? Maybe dollarama has some electronic with similar screw holes?

I have heard of other springs fitting. But why not pm Rob see what he says ? He's usually here most evenings and is very quick with a reply. Pm me if u can't find a solution ASAP. I have I think a spare spring here. I'm close to Victoria so it may be faster just to get Rob to ship u one.

There are a few Reonati in Montreal, perhaps one of them will see this. You should PM Rob (redeyedancer) with the date you purchased your mod and the details around the spring collapse, and that you're currently out of the states.

Thank you so much for the offer. I'll shoot Rob a PM tomorrow from a computer maybe he can work something out with shipping since they shouldn't have any trouble in an envelope.

Ill check through my electronics first thing tomorrow as well.
