I saw this banner, which would normally really be helpful...

ECF will be offline for server maintenance for 30 minutes between 2am and 4am early on Friday 12th.

But what time zone is that?

Because it doesn't help me if I don't know what time zone.
You guys are global now, and are becoming big time!!

Seriously though, I believe it's EST. Rolygate, our site manager did a run-by announcement. Considering it's after 3am where he is, I suppose we're lucky he was awake enough to post anything.

I would think, given that this is a UK website, that it might be a UK timezone.
They do have timezones in the UK, right?


Because yeah, if it's a UK timezone, I not only need to know when, but also the conversion formula.
I believe it has something to do with the circumference of the earth and pie.

Greenwich Mean Time (U.K.) is 5 hours later than Eastern Standard Time (U.S.).

That means, GMT +5 hours to EST, +6 hours to CST, +7 hours to MST and +8 hours to PST. Off the top of my head, I don't know what the time difference is with Alaska and Hawaii.

When we go on daylight savings time, just minus one hour from the difference - +4 hours to EST, etc.

Aw c'mon DC2, it's really easy, let's say it's 11:00 p.m. in San Diego, just add 8 hours to that and now you know that it's 19:00 p.m. in London !!

Mine says GMT -7. Could it be that if you have the time zone set correctly in your user CP that it shows you in YOUR TIME???
