So, I was curious as to how other vapers went about trying to convert smokers. I've mentioned in a few threads already my go to method with friends, that's easy. Strangers are different.
I love when a stranger asks about my pv. It gives me a chance to squash some propaganda and maybe save a life. I usually just explain the juice first because it's the major concern what with the chemicals... After that I typically offer my spare tank, with a condom cover (I always keep a few) and a flavor of their choice (I always have 3-5) and let them try it out. If they like it, then I can break into pv's and why they can, but I don't recommend use a cig-a-like or mini. I have a fair success rate interestingly. Around 45% with strangers. I've run into quite a few of them a week or so later and they have an ego or evod just as I suggested. Makes me all fuzzy inside when they thank me for helping them, in one guy's words, "Remember what breathing really is."
With friends it's very simple: VAPE OR DIE! lol
Not so crucially, but it's basically the method. I keep about 6 standard evods between my car and my home; both of which are now vape only. So, when they want a smoke, I offer them a clean evod, a clean tip (If my dad is gone I tend to offer his iTaste SVD with a drip so they can try flavors if they aren't sure what they want.), and a juice of their choosing. If they're skeptical, I go through the spiel on juice ingredients and all the "health concerns". Once I have their attention and evaluate their reaction, I tell them that if they throw their cigs in my trash can right then, I'll give them the evod, the charge cable (since I have like 20 now from re-buying to replace the stock of "try me"s), and the 30ml bottle of whatever juice they chose. Then I say, go buy an extra battery cause you'll need it, and you'll be set for nearly a month. Once they hear that they can skirt by on $30 a month and not finish all the juice, they get really into it, really fast. My success rate here is amazingly high at around 75%.
I think it's important to be somewhat, and I hate this word as it reminds me of shady send me money preachers, evangelistic and try to spread the love and knowledge. The more supporters we have, the more people know the real facts instead of FDA and BT propaganda, the further ahead we forge in the fight for our right to party...I mean vape.
