So, I was curious as to how other vapers went about trying to convert smokers. I've mentioned in a few threads already my go to method with friends, that's easy. Strangers are different.

I love when a stranger asks about my pv. It gives me a chance to squash some propaganda and maybe save a life. I usually just explain the juice first because it's the major concern what with the chemicals... After that I typically offer my spare tank, with a condom cover (I always keep a few) and a flavor of their choice (I always have 3-5) and let them try it out. If they like it, then I can break into pv's and why they can, but I don't recommend use a cig-a-like or mini. I have a fair success rate interestingly. Around 45% with strangers. I've run into quite a few of them a week or so later and they have an ego or evod just as I suggested. Makes me all fuzzy inside when they thank me for helping them, in one guy's words, "Remember what breathing really is."

With friends it's very simple: VAPE OR DIE! lol

Not so crucially, but it's basically the method. I keep about 6 standard evods between my car and my home; both of which are now vape only. So, when they want a smoke, I offer them a clean evod, a clean tip (If my dad is gone I tend to offer his iTaste SVD with a drip so they can try flavors if they aren't sure what they want.), and a juice of their choosing. If they're skeptical, I go through the spiel on juice ingredients and all the "health concerns". Once I have their attention and evaluate their reaction, I tell them that if they throw their cigs in my trash can right then, I'll give them the evod, the charge cable (since I have like 20 now from re-buying to replace the stock of "try me"s), and the 30ml bottle of whatever juice they chose. Then I say, go buy an extra battery cause you'll need it, and you'll be set for nearly a month. Once they hear that they can skirt by on $30 a month and not finish all the juice, they get really into it, really fast. My success rate here is amazingly high at around 75%.

I think it's important to be somewhat, and I hate this word as it reminds me of shady send me money preachers, evangelistic and try to spread the love and knowledge. The more supporters we have, the more people know the real facts instead of FDA and BT propaganda, the further ahead we forge in the fight for our right to party...I mean vape.

Keep on preachin' and evangelisin' the unwashed masses my brother! Great tactics, I use the "no smoking in the car" rule too, and its gotten three of my close friends to switch... surprising how well it works.

I keep some extra vape supplies with me as well when I'm out and about for the chance to potentially convert a smoker, because one more vaper is one less smoker, and its a win for all those involved.

Yeah. Kanger must love the hell outta me by now. I'm up to ~$320just in Evods and anther ~$80 in juice given away. It hurts my wallet, not crucially mind you. If I'm strapped for cash I can't give away units, but I'm ok right now so meh. However, it makes me feel good watching my friends one by one literally "breathe a little easier".

I don't evangelize.

Always believed that leading or showing by example is best...if they ask me about it, I'm glad to share and help.

People are ready to quit smoking when they are ready. Not much you can do to fix that, that has been my experience.

I just use my Vmod with a shiny blue metallic cover. Here in the UK most people I see out and about generally use 650 egos and ce4 type set-ups. Most of the smokers just pass them by.

But when they see me using something they don't recognise, they nearly always come over and ask questions. Once I have them hooked, I'll give them a blast on my back up Evod with a VV ego battery. So far, I've converterd at least 10 strangers, it could be more, but I've only had 10 confirmed sightings. They're all using basic kit, but it's a step in the right direction.

I gave up Marlboros a few months ago and vape full time. I've gone from 24-18-16-12mgs and am about to step down to 6. Earlier this week I gave my best friend a standard ego battery and a protank mini. He's yet to finish the pack of cigs he was on.

I think its powerful to let people know that they can still get the nicotine they need and that they can eventually step off it all together.

I wish I could afford to keep a stash of "starter kits" to give away, but things are too tight.

While I don't think I've truly converted anybody, another nurse I work with saw me with my ego a couple months ago and said "I really need to try that again". She had a couple of egos but for whatever reason had stopped using them. I guess me not being self-conscious gave her the kick start she needed and she's in "vape only" mode now. A few others have started using cig-a-likes and egos, and today I saw yet another person with an ego set-up! The newest hasn't totally kicked the smokes yet, but she's working on it. I don't know what to call our minor revolution because it's not peer pressure, because none of us preach, but we will let others try our stuff. I guess just seeing other staff with our devices gives people the nerve to try it.

I love reading all of these posts. I have had my fair share of converting others myself and it does feel good. You all have given me some good tips though....like the condom so they can take a vape from mine.

I have given a few kits away myself, I get them from FT. I think you get what you give.

Congradulatioins to all of us for getting off the cigs and showing others the light.
