Welcome back to vaping and ECF!
There have been tons of activity around here in the past couple of years -- and a lot of pretty fine PV's and Mods.
IMO it would be a good idea to pick up a ego kit as your batteries just might not be up to par by now. You could get ego batteries that can also be used like a pass through. "510" has become pretty much the standard so you can't go wrong buying 510. However, there are also adapters now, so you could get whatever atty # you liked before. It's a good re-start.
The biggest advances I've seen in the past year are the continuing popularity of bottom feeding devices, large fan base for variable volt mods (or variable watts) and more recently, tanks. These tanks are not the ego tank but a system which uses a cartomizer feed system.
I bought a Darwin (variable watts) to find out what all the VV/VW "fuss" was about and to help me work out my "sweet spot" set up. My advice would be to pick up a VV (or VW) so you can experiment.
There are several great Mods available and even more opinions. Have fun shopping----and don't buy everything this week. Next week there will be another tempting gem...
