Check out what Phil Busardo posted on Regulation.gov. Link and post is on his site at Tasteyourjuice.com.

Here is what I posted:

Good Day. My name is Burton, and I am an ex-smoker. I smoked around a PAD for almost 30 years. I am now 55 years of age. I quit smoking on Oct27, 2012. That was the day that I purchased my first Advanced Personal Nicotine Vaporizer, aka Ecig.
I had tried everything. Patches, gums, Chantix (twice, thru my personal physician), cold turkey, hypnosis. I even tried the early cigs back in 2009; I thought they held promise, but the flavors we're not great, and the batteries did not last very long. My wife, who had smoked even more and longer than I had, joined me in my efforts. Didn't work for her, either.

Enter the more advanced, higher tech devices.
Enter nicotine juices made in the USA, with great flavors and consistent doses of nicotine.

My daughter, who works at a hospital, suggested the new devices after one of her friends successfully quit smoking using them. He had been smoke free for 2 years at that time in mid 2012. My wife and I REALLY wanted to quit, for our sakes, our children's sakes, and our grand children's sakes.

So we ordered a higher priced set of devices for ourselves. We purchased several flavors of e-liquid from domestic vendors that had been reviewed by well known bloggers and e-magazines.

And you know what? WE HAD OUR LAST TOBACCO CIGARETTES THE NEXT MORNING.

THEY TASTED HORRIBLE! I actually only had half of my Last cigarette. I wanted the Ecig instead. My wife had a little tougher time than I did, but she hung in there. And we now are both free from the curse of burning tobacco.

We can now hike the National Parks easier.

We no longer wheeze and cough at night when we go to bed.

We no longer get Colds or Flus as often.

Our Grandkids don't make yucky faces when we hug them after coming in from a smoke.

We realize that Ecigs are a Harm Reduction Technology. Yes, there MAY be long term risks. But we KNOW that Tobacco cigarettes are killers.

Please, Please, PLEASE, let's have a little common sense here! We feel better, we smell better, we can taste life better. We enjoy our lives more fully. We are intelligent, knowledgable adult Americans. Let US decide if our desire for nicotine justifies the risks.

I am all for reasonable regulation to ensure consistency with ingredients, nicotine concentration, and proper sterile environments for manufacture of eliquids. Using the 4 ingredients that are already all FDA approved:

Nicotine
Vegetable Glycerine
Propylene Glycol
Flavorings

This process should be simpler than approving Twinkies for human consumption, for crying out loud!

Please come to your senses, and allow the Electronic Cigarette Industry to continue to save lives and enrich our Quality of Life.

FOR OUR CHILDREN'S SAKES
FOR OUR GRANDCHILDREN'S SAKES
FOR OUR SAKES

Provari's with Vivi Nova's (Novae?). We have since moved up thru Phiniacs with Boge Carto's, ProTanks, and have finally settled on KFL+'s. In addition to the Provari's, we have an MVP1 and a VTR for backups...can't have enough backups, but so far, unnecessary with the Provari's. We have 4 KFL+'s for different flavors and nic mg. My wife likes to step it down to 12mg after 6pm...

I'm not sure that Phil Busardo's comment is going to be posted because it didn't scientifically address any of the issues they asked for comment on.
For anyone wanting to comment, I would STRONGLY suggest waiting for CASAA guidance so that your comments can be effective.

Please heed DC2's post. Wait for guidance from CASAA. Plenty of time. You get one shot at this. Make it count.

These guys ^^^ are right. We only get to make one comment each. Let's make it count.
