Am I traipsing around town handing out poison to little kids? Mmmmm...don't think so.

Of course not, that's not what the media's saying; they're saying that we forcibly pour it down their throats evidently, If all these stupid bans and regulation come in we'd probably have an easier time buying concentrated cyanide than we would eliquid... Time to horde DIY supplies again :D

If you let it continue to rile you up you'll suffer an aneurism trust me  It's a constant p---ing match between governments and vapers in this game, don't worry, we'll win eventually :D Bogus science and payoffs can only last for so long, vaping is forever!
It's the same in the enthusiast PC market lol

The only way we have a chance at winning is if every vaper:

That's some crazy stuff right there. But it boils down to "TAXING"

I think you hit it on the head. They want to tax it. If they did then the gum, patches and other subtitutes should be taxed. The tobacco industry is now losing millions of dollars. Its funny that they don't want higher taxes on alcohol. That causes many medical complications in excess. It also can cause car accidents. I haven't heard a story about a car crash that said, "yeah they were vaping they should know the danger." Just a thought.

As I sit here vaping my morning French Vanilla Cappuccino and drinking my coffee, the news comes on with some interesting findings. Well it now appears that the University of California as determined that there is no link between quitting smoking and ecigs! And then there's a ....* saying that the FDA has no regulation on the stuff so it's hard telling what kind of dangerous chemicals we as vapors are putting in our bodies. Are you kidding me?! My wife, son, myself and numerous friends are approaching 6 months anolog free. Granted, we are still getting nicotine, but not all the nasty stuff in the anologs. We are working our way down on nic levels though. I DIY our own juice, so yes, I do know what we are putting in our bodies!

Dr. Michael Siegel has thoroughly trashed the Lies, junk & pure unadulterated propaganda this study from Glantz' minion spewed forth:
http://tobaccoanalysis.blogspot.com/2014/03/new-study-on-electronic-cigarettes-by.html

Any with a brain & can 'this-side-of-comatose can readily see through this, but unfortunately that eliminates most of the mainstream media

And to second WV's encouragement: every vaper needs to be aware of, and join CASAA.org, and spreading the truth & facts to everyone they can!

They want to tax it. If they did then the gum, patches and other substitutes should be taxed.

This is an excellent point that I don't see enough of, particularly in response to all the ...... who are tax-addicted (hear that Michigan & New Jersey?!)

I really don't get it, only thing I can think of is that Big Tobacco must be pushing extremely hard to get all this FUD out in the public. There was an piece in the NYT the other day called something like "Death By The Barrel" that talked about how dangerous liquid nic is and that vapers have it around the house in yummy fruity smelling flavors that just beg kids to drink them and points out that a tablespoon of nic juice used for mixing will kill a child or even an adult.

The article p****d me off for sure but what really put me over the edge were the reader comments. Good lord people, I'm not going to come to your house with a bottle of 100mg nic, take the cap off, put it down on your coffee table, and tell your kid to drink it. Should there be regulations about what does into the juices, sure. Should there be warnings on the labels and should age qualifications be strictly enforced, absolutely. Am I traipsing around town handing out poison to little kids? Mmmmm...don't think so.

Dang, now I'm all wound up. Who started this thread? grrrrrrrrr

Here's a couple of excellent responses to the time's vomit:

Jacob Sullum is an out-spoken e-cig advocate, and this piece shreds the whole poison theme we've seen these past couple of weeks.

That's like saying that parents are pouring cleaning fluids or anything else down their throat. Parents who vape wouldn't leave their liquids out for their kids to drink anymore then they would cleaning products. That's not an argument. Can kids get people to buy it for them, of course they can. They get people to buy cigarettes, alcohol and other things. Those people are the people to go after. I have no problem showing ID to prove age, and I am pretty sure most people would. If there are places that sell to the underage then they should be punished not the majority who follow the rules. Ok down off the soap box
