Any insight from past customers in regards to the quality of eastmall's cartomizers would be great.

Is an 808 an 808?

I received one of these as a gift, and am trying to determine compatibility and availability of parts from other sources. It is not called an 808 D-1 (what everyone here seems to refer to), but is called a KR808D. The vendor is "Electronic Cigarettes, Inc.", web address electroniccigarettesinc dot com . (Sorry, I'm new, and so cannot post links, pictures, start threads, etc., etc., etc.)

If anyone can provide enlightenment regarding this, please do - and Thank You!!! :)

CSteve

The KR808D is it =) The Vapor King oddly enough is a 510 lol!

I've noticed that there are 2 different packaging formats - white cardboard boxes of 5, and blister-packed strips of 5. Anyone know which are older/newer, or any other difference.

I've also been curious about Eastmall as they sell 50 cartos for 49.95, and if they indeed are the same -- why pay more? Has anyone bought those?

Just to clearify cssteves link electroinccigarettesinc.com has a vapor king that is a 510 and JenJen switched from a 510 to a vapor king from V4L which is a KR808
and I guess the other humor would be that vaporkings.com is a supplier that is currently carrying kr808 model and calls it Kr808D-1 two piece AND sells other models DSE801,DSE901,etc,etc The CraaZZZy world of no copyrights hehe

CSteve maybe this will enlighten you

Kanger made a few different ecig batteries in the D series(the part that lights up when you inhale the ecig)

KR808D-1
KR808D-2
KR808D-3
KR808D-W with manual switch

I am kind of lazy to search for the exact sizes of each,,I am sure someone else will chime in on that hehe

ANYWAY the KR808D cartomizers the other part of the 2pc model will fit on either of the above mentioned batteries(depending on the generation of the battery slotted or non slotted of course thats another thread in itself hehe)

The link that you provided seems to sell their 2pc model at sort of a high price for a basic kit.....look at other threads in the KR808 model sub-forum for recommended suppliers of the KR808 2pc...I am sure you won't be dissapointed.

Uk supplier.

Hello I have mentioned this supplier in another post but thougth I would mention it in this thread for those in the UK seeking a KR808d-1 and not wanting to go purchase from overseas. I think this is the only UK supplier, I have searched around a fair bit, as this model appears to be growing in popularity I would seize on while you can. Stock of batteries seems to be an issue both here and in the US.

Sorry can't post url just yet.

I don't think you can beat V4L for customer service, and Steve always tosses in extra cartos and even batteries as a surprise. Makes getting an order like Christmas. 10% savings by using the " smilin " code. I have been told by others that all the cartos are the same, but I sure taste a difference. Others I have gotten seemed dry tasting and didn't last as long. (And I am not the only one who feels that way) Also, there is more of a variety of flavors and nicotine strengths at V4L. I always vape the 0 or low nic cartos at night, and save the 18's for daytime vaping. That alone sells me on V4L. As I mentioned before, I have gotten good customer service with other vendors, but V4L kicks it up a notch. You could check some of the vendors forums to find out what their customers are saying about them before buying.

One thing I am sure of - you will love your KR808 no matter where you get it from! Good luck and happy vaping! ;)

(By the way - V4L is trying out vendors other then Kanger for cartos, and is going to be getting some VG cartos in soon)

I did have a look through eastmall's forum but most reviews were in regards to e-juices. Are the juices are an indication on the taste/quality of the cartomizers? As I'm buying them for a few friends who have never used or heard of e-cigs, I wanted to get them cartomizers so they didn't have the inconvenience of refilling. Although I know refilling isn't too hard, I just wanted their first experience to be fuss free.

I have seen the level of customer service provided by V4L and have ordered from them (although I haven't received it yet as it has to travel half way around the world :(). However, because eastmall is doing a very good sale atm (see quote below) and free shipping for orders over $200, I just wanted to explore this avenue and take advantage of the sale.

NoMorButts4Me- yeah I've noticed that about the packaging too, V4L is blister packs if I'm not mistaken and eastmall's seem to be cardboard boxes (but black).

So if anyone has had any experience with cartomizers & juices from various KR808D-1 vendors, I would love to hear what you have to say! I'm not necessarily asking if eastmall's are better or worse than other vendors, just wanted to know they are decent and that you'd recommend buying the carts (if they weren't on sale). I'm particular interested in ordering the menthol from eastmall... or if you have a favourite flavour cart/juice from eastmall then I'd love to hear that too.

JenJen: Firstly, thanks for answering! Also, has your experience with eastmall's carts been dry tasting? Or are you referring to another vendor?

Sorry about the long post guys, forgive my ignorance. I'm totally new to the e-cig concept and a non-smoker, so I really don't know what considerations need to be taken to assess flavour or cartomizers.

I've only tried V4L and Cig Techs, except for the colors they seem the same. Many say they are all the same, but I don't know this, only read it. Mine from V4L came in a box, and the others were in blister packs. Hopefully someone can come along and answer your questions. It sounds like a good deal, if I needed supplies I may look into it, but I don't.

Actually, V4L cartos come in Black boxes, cartos that I have gotten from other places have come in blister packs and I found them kind of dry and tasteless. Others agree with me, others say they taste no difference so everyone is different. Overall, I have had better luck with the cartos from V4L, plus there is more variety in flavor and nic strength and they are marked with both flavor and nic strength which I prefer. The extra goodies that Steve throws in are also very nice and makes getting an order more fun! ;)

See above, taking into consideration that it is my opinion. Vapor4Life is not the cheapest out there, but not the most expensive either. And the extras they throw in, less expensive shipping, and 10% discount on every order more then balance it out in my mind. I like doing business with someone I can call and talk to and who treats me the way I want to be treated. Plus, if something goes wrong, I know it will be replaced with no hassels, and I don't even have to send it back! He takes you at your word. :)

Bottom line, you just need to try for yourself and find what works best for you. If you aren't smoking, it's all good! :D

you also may risk that order getting stuck in customs...
Drew at Nhaler.com has free shipping on orders over 100.00

finally as Jen Jen said.. :)

I understand that taste is very subjective and that this can only really be resolved by actually trying the carts. The only problem is that it can get expensive with international shipping to just try one or two packs at a time to ascertain if they're worth repurchasing. :( So I just thought this would be a great opportunity to ask for some past experiences so I can take advantage of the sale.

Needvapor: I had a look at the nhaler website, but I couldn't find any menthol flavours in the 16mg cartomizers? Did I skip over it by accident or do they not have menthols in cartomizer? Or are they curretly out of stock?

Key They are the same..just some are older maybe or maybe the run on that particular flavor wasn't as good or filled as much as normal. No one else but Kanger makes them..period.
I bet a lot of carts are just old, especially seeing that catomizers are just now catching on. Wonder what the shelf life is?

Now a few suppliers are getting things changed..that's for the best, things need to be changed! Too many carto's are coming out bad lately or filled with mixed up flavors or even yucky flavors. Check every website..they all have complaints about a certain flavor this week..another next week.

I have purchased quite a bit from Eastmall and was totally satisfied with their carts. But now, I stay stateside, because the quality is the same, since the manufacturer is the same.

The only reason I did buy from them back in April and May was the price of the carts....they were a lot cheaper......but, and a big but......I had to spend $200 to get free shipping.

The customer service was excellent with Ed (SIN) always responding quickly to any of my queries.

I've been more than satisfied with the vendors here, and plan to continue stateside because I choose to give our US suppliers my business.
