I only speak from my experiences over the years.
The other thing u need to understand is that this is basically a suppliers forum, and most posts are from suppliers or their friends so I wouldn't put much faith in the posts you find here.Find a few trustworthy people and follow their advice, the rest add to your ignore list. PS..as a rule of thumb, never trust reviewers or anyone with over 300 posts a month. There just isn't that much to say about a battery heating a small wire or vegetable juice with flavoring.
You'll do fine, you sound like you already get the picture....good luck to you.

That's a interesting view as its my goal to get people to not spend any more money than they really need to.

Example if your all day vape is a DIY made at 1.75 for 30ml then that leaves you that much more money for the expensive evening juice.

#2 if you use the best equipment that can reduce cost as well. I don't mess with tanks and carto's I have a bunch but gave up on them when I got my Reo Grand, I replace the attomizer about every 3 weeks and I pay 3.00 for a atty.

So with a 1 a week for a atty and 50ml of juice it cost me about 5$ a week to vape. How much would you have to spend on the "wants" if you had my set up?

Sent from my truck using 3 toasters a broken microwave and 6 rubber bands McGyver style......Chuck Norris aint got crap on me

Nonsense. I wish some of my friends were suppliers, and that there were lots of them here in NZ. But there aren't so I use this forum to find out about suppliers and I have found some good ones to order from.
So yeah firstly not everyone is in America. Secondly, some of us like to talk and welcome new people. And thirdly, sheesh - and you know this how exactly?? Thin air ain't the best for breathing, and is terrible for producing factual statements.

I'm only going to sell stuff for the same price I paid or less. There are other people out there who are being priced out and not able to try this kit. I go to work to earn my living and don't see my hobby as a revenue stream. What say you?

I think you missed the classified ad that was applauded by tons of people on this board when the guy made a point of doing just that. Actually, there are people doing that.

Many people can afford way more than those who go around bragging about how much they can afford stuff---they just don't buy a lot of stuff because inherently, they've philosophically come to the realization that stuff doesn't make them happy.

I guess my sig line tells my philsophy anyway ;), but I have no problem if other people engage in getting and spending rituals. It's really none of my business anyway...whatever floats their boat.

Coupla my friends buy racehorses......it's usually a money pit........but they enjoy the sport of it. :)

So, if it's an important ethical consideration for you to buy and sell at what you believe is fair and honest, then, YOU do that. You can't control or try to control what other people do, though.

As for collecting, we all remember Beanie Babies and Cabbage Patch Dolls. Plenty of lost $$ there LOL People are brainwashed to be consumers to a certain extent....if that doesn't do it for you, then just eschew the practice. Let other people have THEIR fun though.

Hi, just to clarify, I'm not having a go at anyone, I'm not trying to change anybodies world (or forum), all I'm doing is getting other peoples feedback on what I thought was a bit unfair.

It would appear that my feelings are unjustified and I accept that and will address them now that I have a range of rational opionions from people far more experienced than me.

For the record, I'm not moaning becuase I'm poor and can't afford to buy stuff, if i want something there's usually a way to raise the money if it's not sitting in my account already. I work for a living and so all things are possible.

I'm not easily offended and have taken no offence to anything said, these are your opinions and I respect that, but nor do I expect others to take offence to anything I say or anything which is a reasonably argument from another, as a disclaimer, my opinions are my own and in no way reflect reality :)

I do however think it's a bit harsh to show me the door just because I aired my opionion, after all, I thought that was part of the purpose of a forum.

I enjoy using ECF and enjoy vaping and all it brings, while it's my opinion that in some cases lower cost equipment can out perform higher priced stuff, I still enjoy the thrill of buying higher priced items to play with and thus enjoy vaping as a hobby.

So effectively, I am every bit as involved in vaping as a hobby as anyone else but I don't find myself feeling offended by anyones comments or opinions about any of the equipment and certainly not about anyone belittling the scene. I have a sense of owership of the direction I take with my pass times and attribute value based on the enjoyment I can extract from them.

Thus, a piece of wire and a battery it may be, but that detracts none from the delight I get when I wind a well crafted wick or open the box of my latest deeply anticipated toy.

As I said, I respect all opinions, I have some of my own and I'm open to healthy debate becuase even if I may be a bit misguided at times, it helps me to grow as a person to hear the views of others.

I would hope that others would participate on the same basis.

I have recently been looking on the UK vapers site for rebuildables. Must say most of the guys there are selling their stuff for cost price or slightly above when including postage and packing. Good deals to be had if you look for them. It is however a supply and demand market and if someone is trying to charge me well over the odds for a product then I'm under no obligations to pay the extortionate price. It's all about choices.

It sucks when people buy rare, and expensive mods and hoard them, never to be used. I mean if someone is selling a mod for over retail price, it is a drag if you want one, but that is all it is, want. A 1967 Corvette sells for well over the retail price, if you desire something that is rare, sought after, older, nostalgic, or of limited production it is gonna cost you. I build box mods, and give em away personally.

I dumped my Reo.I haven't used a China atty/carto in almost 2 years and my juice costs about 48$ for 1200 ml.
I can't DIY for less than that.
The point is,you can still part take in this addiction replacement therapy for about $5 a month if you do some home work.I try to help people understand this and hope it helps save them some money.
Just a note, the juice box pictured in the upper left was built for about $9 and took me about 25 mins. to put together. It still works as well today as it did 2 years ago when I made it.

pfft I drove a 85 5th avenue for a good 7 years before the transmission finally croaked. It outlasted the 95 buick park avenue i bought to replace it. I sold THAT POS to a scrap yard for $200 on my way out of savannah, because it wouldn't make the journey but i didn't want my ex to have it, lol.

Hooptie love!

An 85 fifth avenue was the first car I ever bought myself! Greyish silver, vinyl on the back third of the roof, maroon interior... I loved that car sooo much. After having to crawl under the car with my dad and replace the transmission though... Never again. Once that transmission died, I sold it for $300 to a salvage yard.

Yeah my dad rebuilt it for me right when I got it, and it lasted that 7 years so I guess we got our money's worth. I miss having plenty of room in the front seat. I get downright claustrophobic in the neon i have now.
