I'm in search for a compact device to use while at work and/or on the go. I currently have a Vamo, and really like it. I know I can use 18350 batteries in it and make it smaller, but really just curious what other options I have. Truly interested in a mechanical, but not sure if it's really my thing or not, as I've never used one. I've done a lot of research and have a good understanding of the devices, and a good understanding of electricity and and blah blah. I've always just had something regulated, and so far, prefer it. Does anyone have any suggestions on a device? Including nice mechanicals. Oh and another thing I've seen is the kicks that are made to regulated voltage according to the wattage setting you set in these mechanicals. Is this something that would be worth my time and money? Any and all information and suggestions are welcome and appreciated. It can sometimes be hard to find the exact answer you're looking for when you're just scrolling through these forums. So thanks ahead of time!

OK

Uh Huh.

Right.

Sure you do...

Yes, yes I do.

It can also be hard to figure out where someone is going with such a vague little wall of words. ;-)
"Nice mechanicals". So I take that to mean, not cheap crap?

My suggestion is: The readily available Tarsius 4Nine (or, if you're lying about "nice"... cheap China clone of same) in 18350 mode, with a Kayfun KFL+ or Kebo R19% (or cheap China clone of same), fit with one of the readily available Nano kits (or cheap China clone of same).

Thanks for the advice. But talking to anyone like you just talked to me is pretty uncalled for. Take that .... somewhere else man. We're all here for the same thing. I'm not a kid, and I'm damn sure not your kid. Have a nice day.

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

here's my on the go compact setup

MCR-101 with a Rocket. i personally prefer genesis style atomizers over kayfuns due to the flavor. when built well, it's just better :) only problem is that it will eventually leak when left 90 degrees or more. this setup will probably be a bit hard to acquire, but something similar is easily obtainable. any mechanical 18350 mod + a reduced chamber genesis.

I don't see where you would have an issue with flux's post.. but I also seem to upset people on the intranet...

I actually have a 4nine in 18650 with a magma in my pocket.. only setup I've left house with in at least a month.

Mechanicals are going to offer the most compact kits..the hana modz mini is real tiny though.

I'm here to learn, and that's why I ask questions and advice. I have the general understanding, just not the hands on experience. I don't appreciate being talked down on because I don't have a $400 dollar set up in hand. Nor will I ever. Everyone has a preference and that's fine. I'm not busting anyones balls for spending that much money, and don't expect mine busted for not. I appreciate everyones input, including flux's. But helping someone, and talking down to them is two different things. We're all adults here, and obviously all enjoy the same hobby. There's just a level of respect I expect to get and give no matter ones experience in the vape world.

Again, thanks for the advice. I'll definitely look into that set up. Not only is it compact like I'm looking for, it has a very clean look to it, I like it.

Mine is in my pocket at least 95% of the day at work.. my day could consist of pushing a button every minute or so, standing in a circle talking, or climbing all over equipment..

I haven't heard it fire, or noticed any heat, and I am 100% physically in tact, after a little over a month.

The switch's throw is based on the exact battery and atomizer pin length.. longer pinned atomizers auto fire with the purple efest button top 18350..and when the pin is short enough to work, there is no throw..I can appreciate that, but I like button to my button.. but I've had no issues with aw 18490 or Sony vtc4&5.. no other batteries used with it yet.

The original and female versions need some no-oxide on switch sides..I got a really nice patina on my switch after first week or two. A full copper version is available too. I've only seen the original version cloned.. and without holding it, you can tell the top cap and switch are made of different alloys than original.. not that that is a big thing..I'm interested in how the extension tube lines look on the clone. You can barely see them on my authentic.

There is a danger with using hybrid 510 caps. Atomizers that have really short pins can dead short battery.. be mindful of what you're doing with electricity.

How is the rocket? I'm hoping to grab an RSM Hybrid (assuming my f5 button works fast enough) on friday and was wondering how well it performs.

Also, if your atty leaks and gets into the battery it can short as well. This is what I would be more worried about.

I've been looking at the Hana mini clones at FastTech. Amazing how small it is. There's a pic of someone holding it in their hand with a Kayfun with nano kit in the long Chana 30W thread. You're not going to be sub-ohm with a Kayfun so the 1200 mah battery should last a decent time.

For a mechanical, I'll also suggest the 4nine.

i'm loving it. the reduced chamber is great and it's built solid.

i'm sure the hybrid will be awesome as well. the price is just...really high lol

If I used carto tanks... or something with a bottom fed airflow.. I'd agree, or an atomizer with a small enough diameter to show vent holes.

This isn't be a newb mod, just a little more attention/understanding needed than a typical mech.

Can't beat a gripper.
Small, inexpensive, and nearly indestructible.
Gripper
:thumb: How could anyone complain about paying just $8 for a indestructible mechanical mod? Even if just for use as a backup device? I only use mine for stealth vaping at the cinema, but I've had it for at least a year and it looks and performs like new.

My everyday, all-day mod is the Mini Provari, usually rocking a Kayfun Lite Plus on top.

@the 4Nine owners: Do you have issues with the atomizers having juice and condensation leak from the 510 pin directly onto the battery? I was thinking of picking one up, but was concerned about that.

I don't use atomizers that could leak like that...but no, I've never had liquid get into the mod..edit--i wouldn't use one that could potentially leak all over my battery while in use either..

Bad- so you've transitioned more to the kayfun being what you want now?:)
